We have 7 suites and a beautiful lobby that are modern and luxurious, with lots of historical character and texture as a nod to its previous existence as the Grant Hotel from 1895 to 1933. Suite 204 is a European botanical themed room on the 2nd floor. It has a king bed and a beautiful balcony!The spaceThe J. G. Schmohl building was built around 1850. From 1895 to 1932, Mr. Schmohl ran the Grant Hotel in this building. We have loving renovated this well-deserved building with a nod to the Grant Hotel from the turn of the century. We have 3 two bedroom/2 bath suites, 2 one bedroom/1 bath suites and 2 studios. Having a special family/friend gathering? You can rent the entire 7 suites that will accommodate 21 people. The home is near Galena's many walking paths leading out of town as well. Our vacation home has 3 floors and is one of the most authentic places to stay in Galena. It was built in1846 of locally made Galena brick and limestone and will complete your historical Galena experience. All of the bedrooms are located on the second and third floors, with the third floor showcasing a private retreat with attached full bath. In the early 1900s, the house was redecorated in mission style, and has been recently restored to include a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The house overlooks the Fever River and has a charming side porch to seat guests.
