I want to provide you with an update regarding the Sunburst Condo complex, which was impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The complex itself sustained only superficial damage, and the majority of amenities have either been fully restored or are in the process of recovery. Notably, the sun deck on the path to the beach and the boardwalk to the beach were destroyed; however, plans are in place to rebuild these, though we do not have a confirmed timeline yet. The pool deck was also damaged, but repairs have commenced, and the pool itself has been repaired and is available for use. You can still access the beach the only difference is you will have to walk on a sand path rather an wooden path. Regarding the broader impact, Manasota Key was significantly affected by these hurricanes, with many properties experiencing much more severe damage than our complex. The island is in the process of recovery, with ongoing rebuilding efforts to return to its former state. If your stay is planned for 2025, please be prepared for an environment with more construction activity than usual.The public beach has not yet reopened, as there is an ongoing process to sift and return sand to the beach area. However, the beach directly in front of the Sunburst Condos is open and the sand there has been sifted, ensuring a clean and enjoyable beach experience.On a positive note, several local establishments, including The Waverly, White Elephant Pub, and Beachcombers Trading Post, have reopened.
