First and foremost, Donna and Tom couldn’t have been better hosts and this review of their B&B is long overdue. My family and I traveled to Scotland in June to catch the first part of The Open, hang out in Edinburgh, and then head off into the Highlands. We moved around a lot during our adventure and toward the end of our trip found our way to Inverness. It turned out to be the hidden gem of our holiday. This was in no small part due to making the choice to stay at the Castle B&B. It was a fantastic location, had great accommodations, a lovely breakfast, and superb hosts. I think the greatest compliment we can give it was the unsolicited comment my youngest daughter made as we were getting ready to leave – “this has been my favorite place. I wish we could stay here longer.”
訪訪客Excellent hostel! Great common self-catering facilities; there were two full kitchens with plenty of tables and seating so multiple parties could be cooking at a time. Staff were very helpful and let me leave my bag before check-in and after check-out to accommodate my bus times.
The room (4-bunk female dorm) was very spacious so plenty of room for sorting through my bags. Bunk was large and included a USB plug and power outlet there. Room had large attached shower and toilet rooms.
We just had our wedding at Lochardil House and it was fantastic. Rebekah and her brilliant team made our day with their excellent customer service . The food, facilities, garden, breakfast and room were excellent. The little details made it extra special. The delightful Highland coffee in the room was so good. The room was beautiful, comfy and sparkling clean, truly a wonderful place. Best day ever.
訪訪客This is a budget hostel. It's basic and still manages to be pretty good. The hostel was clean and the facilities were great. Check in was simple, the staff were friendly and helpful. Everything you could need was there. Showers, a kitchen, a descent diningroom/lounge and secure storage for bikes. The location could not be better, right in the heart of Inverness.
This was a return trip to Inverness. We decided to stay with SYHA - what a great place to stay! Helpful staff, comfy beds, well equipped self cater kitchen. Yes it's a little bit of a walk from the middle of Inverness, but a very comfortable stay.
訪訪客This is a genuinely nice hotel sat right on the banks of the River Ness and a few minutes walk from the center of Inverness. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The breakfast had a good range of choices and was delicious. The staff were polite and friendly and were very happy to fuss over my small child!
Think hitch hikers hostel and you will get an idea of what this place is like. We had a room in the portacabin, which shook as people went pass in corridor. Sound proofing poor. Twin which was barely adequate in size. Receptionist friendly and helpful but not worth the price. Especially, room only. There is a real lack of local amenities after 4pm.
訪訪客
