Stayed one night before meeting family for bank holiday weekend. Room was clean but a sewage smell from shower, my partner checked drain and no trap in shower so smells coming up. For convenience booked a table in the restaurant, the portions were tiny, vegetables were half a carrot and a spoonful of cabbage, on complaining we received a bowl of mixed vegetables. Room faced the front so noise from bar until 11.00 but after that okay and slept well. Lovely waitress on at breakfast, very helpful. Breakfast was so good, one of the best full English I've eaten anywhere. Decided to book a table for lunch on Sunday as my brother had been before, sadly it was very average, roast potatoes hard and vegetables cold. When it came to paying the bill it was a nightmare, both myself and my son we charged wayover and had to request the manager to check. Eventually mine was corrected but he somehow managed to charge my daughter in law £139 twice for a meal costing £55 !! Due to bank Holiday weekend we are still awaiting the refund to go into our bank account. The worst thing being there was no apology whatsoever. All I will say is if you decide to go there definitely check your bill

Stayed one night B&B out of season. Try hard but is quite a tired hotel, rooms fairly clean and bed comfortable, but a dated format and our room, possibly the cheapest of the doubles had no windows just skylight, and a creaky sliding door that didn’t fit to the en suite. No parking but street outside free 6pm-8.40am. Breakfast freshly cooked and pretty good basically around traditional full English. Bar and lounge nicely formatted with fireside and board games although very quiet when we visited. Ok as a budget hotel rather than travel lodge - premier inn but not quite the boutique we expected from the website.

Place was superb from start to finish. Top drawer culture exists amongst the team, who can’t do enough for you and the best cooked breakfast I’ve had in years.

The White Hart Ironbridge. Nicely situated by the river but no parking, we had a good meal there on the evening and the atmosphere in general was nice. We stayed in room 6 but it was so noisy from a generator of some sorts which spoiled our stay.

Mixed review The room was excellent. Lovely view and peaceful during the night (once closing time came but people chatter wasn't an issue beforehand). The bathroom was big and spacious and nice to have a separate bath and shower. Bed was really comfy. Only issue for us was breakfast was disappointing. On arrival we were told breakfast was between 9 and 10. We are early risers and do prefer an earlier breakfast but thats personal choice. However, on being seated we noticed others had already eaten and found out they'd been allowed an earlier breakfast which we would've loved but wasn't offered. Our order was taken, however it took 40 minutes to arrive. As time was tight due to car parking issues i had to leave to put additional parking on before returning to breakfast. Other guests expressed concern over the time their breakfasts were arriving due to the same parking payment issue. The food was plentyful, however the poached egg was proper hard and dry, the black pudding tasteless and the poached tomato was whole but hard. Overall a lovely stay but let down at breakfast. On checkout i wasn't asked how the stay was otherwise i'd have said then instead of now in this review.
