The room was eccentric but very clean and comfortable: you could smell the newness of the carpets. The all-female, young staff were so welcoming and helpful, one could not ask for more. The evening food was lush with a good variety of vegetarian options. The only reason that this is not a 5* is the (so-called) 90's rock that was blaring out of the breakfast kitchen on the first morning of our stay. And a great price for the location and service.

The young staff are amazing, had a 2 night stay & could not fault it. Great selection of vegetarian food on the menu. Room was good value as was everything. Food portions were very generous. Will certainly stay again. I know I am repeating myself but those young people delivered incredible service.

The room was OK, location and food nice, parkingnis fine there is a large car park 2 minutes away, don't stay on a Friday or Saturday if you want to sleep before midnight , we knew about the band, but music went on loud past 12 , won't stay again because of that , staff work very hard

Very bad we paid £45 for a package. I was gluten-free. I had a tiny state that wasn’t any bigger than my palm two strips of chicken a gluten-free BAP, some chilli sauce and some cheese I had no drinks. There was no starter and no pudding, I went to ask the bar manager to ask the chef if I could have a little cheesecake as I hadn’t had any alcohol at all they refused. I had a booking that I was going to bring 39 people to the Malthouse next month. I will not bring them there. The service was terrible. The music was too loud and they didn’t accommodate the amount of people we booked so we had to move but most of all there was a uncourteous reaction from a chef to to at least offer me a desert as I had had no alcohol and a ridiculously small unbelievably meal and they charge £45 I would not recommend it to anyone, very bad customer service from the chef apparently the bar manager also asked the manager of the Hotel to go to the chef, he never came to us. I had to go up. I’ve been at many places and had beautiful customer service and beautiful people. This is not one of those places I would not get recommended.

Its like a Club on a Friday and Saturday afternoon and Night. Banging dance anthems till 12.45am. And we booked the last room above the Speakers, great if your an 18-25 clubber. Spoilt a Romantic weekend sadly. Location is great.
