伊斯坦堡塔西克納克酒店(Hotel Tashkonak Istanbul)

Nothing good at this hotel. The staff is extremely rude, first of all when I went there I was with my daughter, the hotel was extremely smelly and there was no way they could avoid that smell. I obviously rejected my stay and asked for a refund. I booked it for 8 nights and I only got a refund for 7 nights from them. Apart from that the hotel staff started threatening me. I would strongly advice everyone to think carefully before booking this hotel

This is a 1-2 start hotel. The best way to describe is “adequate”. If you are on a budget and looking for a decent no frills place near the blue mosque, this does it. The breakfast was terrible. We are one day and avoided it for the rest of the trip. The walls are super thin and you can hear pretty clearly what folks next to your room. No napkin / tissue paper provided, an electric pot is there to boil water but no tea / coffee provided. Rooms are tiny even for sultanahmet standards. When we asked for iron and ironing board, we got an old iron that has stiff stuck on it. When I asked for board the guy at front desk said just use the bed or floor as no board available. The folks at the front desk were helpful but clearly they had no idea how to run a hotel that caters to foreigners.

It was a beautiful stay! The staff went above and beyond and were so helpful when it came to telling us about the area and giving us tips. They were very kind and thoughtful and always greeted us with a hello and a smile. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious; it was a little repetitive but still good. We were staying on the 3rd floor so it was a little difficult not having an elevator for the elderly in our group but we expected this before our trip. The location is very convenient; it was walking distance to many landmarks. And close by to a few grocery stores so we had access to everything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

From the moment of our arrival the young staff in this small family run hotel could not have been more welcoming, friendly, or helpful. It is a simple hotel, very centrally located, but tucked away in a quiet side street. The room was immaculately clean with comfortable beds. There are two roof terraces with great views over the Bosporus. Breakfast was simple but with plenty of choice of local dishes and more conventional choices. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay for a long weekend break in Istanbul.
