You might want to avoid this hotel if you value your private sphere. This place will follow your every move and has absolutely no respect for your privacy. I invited an old high school friend I met by coincidence at the promenade by the hotel to have some beers I had stacked in the mini fridge in my room. Immediately I got a call asking my friend to register at the front desk. When I asked how the knew I had someone else in the room they said they had ”observed” us on their surveillance system. This would mean that someone followed us from the entrance to the room and then checked how many registered occupants the room has. Really disgraceful behavior for a hotel where privacy should be paramount.
This hotel is not for families!! The minute we arrived, we did not feel welcomed!! The reception staff behaviour was disrespectful to say the least, especially the female ones!!! They don't listen and their first answer is always 'No' even though the first rule in customer service book is never say 'no' to customers but must be like 'ok, I will see what I can do' or 'I will do my best'!! One strange thing is those 'see through' bathroom doors. Its not convinient for families since one can see each other when they taking a bath. The indoor pool is very small and not heated and the water is cold as a result. They also ask to wear a hair cover if you want to enter the pool, and you can buy it from them for a relatively high price!
I was just there in late November. I come to Izmir once a year, and this time, I chose to stay at the Hyatt Izmir since it was reletively new. Great choice. The rooms are the best, even better than the Marriott. The service is execellent and the breakfast was good. It's connected to a nice Mall which enables you to access to good restaurants. What separates this hotel from others is the facilities. The rooms are the best, the gym is 24 hours and fully equipped and the pool and the lobby is exellent. It does not have a Regency Lounge which is a shame but plentify of restaurants around. The view from the balcony is amazing and the service is good. We stayed in 2 rooms as family of 4 and they were connecting and beautiful. Next time, we are in Izmir, Hyatt Izmir is our choice!
DDr. Dennis E. EricsonMitte Port Konak Hotel's infrastructure is very new and they have a great breakfast, they have a local variety of cheese very good pastries and some roasted mushrooms and potatoes. So big variety of jams and fruits.
Their spa and Turkish bath was closed when we try to visit normally they say it's free to use for every guest.
The room had not enough windows but the AC was working powerful to the cooldown. Only problem beds are a little small. Wi-Fi is working well. There was a mini fridge. They have safe lockers in the room. They have TV. The bathroom is very good, hot water and water pressure was perfect. Except toothbrush they provide everything.
The location of the hotel is good if you travel with your car or take a taxi but walking to public transportation is a little hard. It may cost 50 TL from the Konak Meydan to the hotel by taxi better not talk during the night.
The hotel staff was very nice to us and other guests. There are many local customers and abroad from a variety of countries from France, China, Iran, France etc.
訪訪客Brilliant location , in the heart of everything. Basic room but was clean. Slept like a log every night. Down side was room only had 4 clothes hangers and I had trouble getting into room with a slighty faulty door lock. Staff were brilliant and very friendly.
