Im Wanderlager war es okay.
Die Aussicht und Lage ist top.
Wünsche werden erfüllt und man muss soch über nichts Gedanken machen. Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist etwas weit entfernt.
Die Fenster benötigen dringend mal eine Wäsche.

Ich bin in meinem ganzen Leben noch nicht so respektlos und unverschämt behandelt worden. Die Preise für Getränke und Speisen im Restaurant sind nirgends zu finden .
Beim Auschecken wurde dann noch versucht, den bereits bezahlten Rechnungsbetrag noch ein zweites Mal abzukassieren. Außerdem wurden Gebühren für Bettwäsche erhoben, die ebenfalls nicht vorher angekündigt waren.
Sehr frech,sehr unverschämt ich kann nur von einem Aufenthalt abraten.

Ein Teller Linsensuppe mit Kassler für fast 13 Euro und das Kassler musste man suchen, also für mein Empfinden definitiv zu teuer. Diese Bewertung hatte ich auf Google bereits geschrieben. Dort wurde sie gelöscht wegen angeblichet Diffamierung. Ich weiß ja nicht was an normaler Kritik diffamierend sein soll? Jedenfalls kann man sich so auch schlechter Bewertungen entledigen.

Ich komme ja selber aus der Gastronomie. Aber diese Unfreundlichkeit geht für mich überhaupt nicht. Aber es scheint als würde es noch zu gut laufen. Die allgemeine Lage ist sicherlich die beste im Zittauer Gebirge. Aber dann bitte mit einem freundlichen Personal.

Sind heute auf der Hochwaldbaude zu viert gewesen. Bei der Bestellung gab es unfreundliche Hinweise. Da eine Linsensuppe 13,50 € und ein Getränk über 5€ kosten war das unverhältnismäßig. Ich Rate jedem die 200 m entfernte Turmbaude zu halben Preisen und mit freundlichen Personal zu nutzen. Mfg M.H. aus Hohnstein

Took the roadtrain up to the top as I have walking problems. Sadly the small eaterie by the tower was closed so went to the larger one. Noting a tower fee of €1.50. Views were great despite the low cloud and eventually lifted. Noted the extensive restoration work and will come back to see progress. Steps are a bit wonky but it's being worked on. Menu displayed outside by the door so this gives you the prices upfront so you don't have a surprise when the bill comes. Went in and made our way to a the table. Were given menus by the waiter (who seems to have been given a hard time by other reviewers). Yes, a little curt but efficient (eventually made him smile with the appearance of our small toy sheep, Mini-Me. (this is not the top of the Zugspitz with a massive eaterie and a shed load of staff and a bigger budget). He took our drink order, a large and a small beer and no, this wasn't watered down as stated by other reviewers. UK prices would have charged more than the equivalent of €5 for a 0.5l. Ordered the streudel that came with cream and ice cream and very nice too, served warm. Yes, probably put in a microwave but in a place like this I appreciate that having an oven on all day isn't practical. Partner ordered the camembert and it looked and tasted great. Yes the prices are high but this place is off the beaten track and getting supplies up there can't be easy. We've come through Covid, inflation etc. If the reviewers are that upset why didn't they eat in Hain or Oybin where the prices are about the same (that's when their eateries are open). This place doesn't claim to be something it isn't. If your legs work and want to walk for a great view, go. Please remember to support the smaller businesses.
