舒眠套房酒店(Sleep Inn & Suites)

Typical layout for a "highway" hotel/motel. Recently constructed so everything was like new. Very clean room and common areas. Lots of towels and pillows. The low price was quite a pleasant surprise. Included breakfast with lots of items makes this a real bargain. While it is located just off the Interstate at the edge of Jacksonville, the town is so small that the hotel is just as convenient as any in the town. J'ville is my hometown and I have to return several times/yr for business reasons. Sleep Inn will be my go-to place for future visits.

The property looked fairly new and nice on the outside. The check-in area looked nice and clean. The rooms looked nice. However, interacting with the space wasn't great. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The tv was terrible. Bad picture and sound with no easy way to adjust it. So much light was coming in around the edges of the curtains. The shower was in bad shape as well. The tub sounded like it was going to fall apart anytime I moved. The shower head was bad. The streams were thin daggers. And it was impossible to adjust to other settings, although I don't believe that would have helped. The breakfast was ok. I had biscuits and gravy which were fine, although I had to eat them with a spoon since the forks were gone. I passed on the scrambled eggs which looked very wet. I can usually put up with all of these minor inconveniences if I get to sleep in a comfortable bed. But it was by far the most uncomfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in at $160 per night.

This was really a nice place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaints is a complaint against almost every hotel these days for not cleaning the room during a stay. Who wants to use the same washrag for three days? Please go back to at least offering towel service without me asking for it.

Our stay here was pre-paid through ******* for 2 nights. After the first night, prior to leaving the hotel that morning, my husband made sure the desk knew that we'd return that night so as to make sure housekeeping didn't go in the room. The next morning we were given a charge slip under the door showing we'd been charged for the second night which shouldn't have happened obviously. My husband went and told the desk we should be refunded. After he went round and round with him, twice, and did not get a satisfactory response, or a refund receipt, I went to discuss it with him. Their explanation as to why this occurred in the beginning was that their "charge to *******'s card did not go through". In other words, *******'s credit card was declined (?) I should add here: this desk clerk had a weird habit of calling everyone "his friend" and referred to me as "my dear". Ok, maybe this is a S. Illinois thing? The clerk ran off and hid in the back office and refused to wait for an ******* rep to get on the phone to confirm that our stay was paid and find out exactly why they weren't paying Sleep Inn. So I called after leaving and had ******* call the hotel. According to *******'s rep., the same clerk assured her there'd be a refund. Now, four days after returning my credit card has now not only NOT received a refund, but I've been charged AGAIN by Sleep Inn for a second night. So now, I've paid for a two night stay 4 times. Never again will we stay here. Be warned!

We had 2 very relaxed nights, and 2 great breakfasts! With my father only 20 minutes away, this hotel is very convenient. Overall it was an A+++ hotel!!

This is what a top notch chain hotel should be. I rate this hotel 10 out of 10.

Bed was pretty comfy. Breakfast was good. Shower head could have been soaked in vinegar because we adjust it and never could get a full head of water out of it. Detail on the vacuuming of the carpet could be better.

Clean, well taken care of, comfortable beds, great internet service, but very poor breakfast, no meat, small choices of food.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast. This was our 2nd stay here and we will go back again.
