Gaji ji came to pick us up and we had a lovely ride in his Jeep. Nice cozy hotel that also serves Korean food in their rooftop restaurant that overlooks a lovely landscape and the fort.
I was looking forward to sitting in the garden etc as shown in the pictures but it’s not a private area, the garden is public so no direct access from the hotel.
Having said that, the hotel itself is beautiful and the service is great. Hussain in the restaurant was super nice and always had a smile on his face.
The hotel arranged for our camel tour to the desert and that was the highlight of our trip. Jiraj our camel guide was so humble and nice. He cooked for us in one corner of the dunes and we ate authentic desert food. We saw the broadest and the clearest view of the stars as we lay by the bonfire. It was magical!
We stayed two nights in a deluxe suite and loved it. Spacious, clean and very quaint. Our room was of a local design and most comfortable. The property is still under construction for additional rooms so the pool area experiences noisy and activity due to this.
The staff were very kind, helpful and accommodating. We felt well cared for and most welcomed.
Recommend it for those looking to try a local experience with an upscale property.
We loved staying at The Helsinki House (there's a fascinating story about the name). While a recent construction, a lot of attention has been paid to create the atmosphere of a traditional haveli. The rooms were large, and very clean. So was the bathroom. We ate breakfast and lunch at the rooftop restaurant and the food was good. The owner's brother runs the place and is very friendly and helpful. They also have a desert camp where we stayed for a night. They are very open to suggestions and overall we really enjoyed our stay both in Helsinki House and the desert camp.
We stayed at the Heritage Inn last week as two families travelling from Ludhiana, Punjab. We stayed here for 2 nights. Check in: Pleasantly surprised to find attentive staff at 1:30 am in the night when we reached the hotel. They welcomed us at this late hour and made sure that we were fully settled in our rooms. We realized that had we arrived during regular hours we would have had a warm and memorable welcome with the beat of drums, floral garlands, and rose petal confetti. Musical Performance: The first night, the hotel had arranged a cultural show at dinner time. We felt the event was filled with energy and the performers put on quite a show! There was a nice touch of authenticity to the live music. At the end of the show, hotel guests were welcomed to dance to the traditional music if they wished. Dinner buffet was served on the hotel lawn, next to the performance, but if you prefer, you could have dinner ordered a-la-carte and served to your table. FOOD: Heritage Inn has an excellent Chef. If you order from the a-la-carte menu, it will be served to the table. All of the dishes we ordered were really really good. Chicken tikka, Lal-maas (red lamb curry), Daal (lentil), Okra (Lady’s fingers)...everything was outstanding. Talk to the staff, get to know them a bit, and they will really take care of you. CAMEL Safari: The Camel ride was one of the highlights of the trip. This event is about half an hour away from where the hotel is. Again, we used the transportation that was arranged by the hotel. Since we were very concerned about eating food from elsewhere, we had the hotel pack food for us which we could take on our camel ride. SAFETY: Most importantly, Heritage Inn is a safe and quiet property, and this was important to us. Overall, the staff was very accommodating and service was excellent.
訪訪客I think this must be the same as the 1st Gate Hotel just outside the Jaisalmer city wall. We were actually here for lunch, which was quite good on a lovely terrace. The place is popular with foreign tourists. There was one small issue when we were there in that there was some kind of a shouting match between a group of male customers and the ***agement. Actually, most of the shouting seems to have come from the male customers. Eventually, police were called in. It was uncomfortable for us and seemed to be about pretty much nothing
VVARENYAMMy stay at the Jaisalmer Spa Hotel and Resorts for three nights was nothing short of remarkable, truly making it a standout experience in Jaisalmer. This hotel, with its exceptional service and luxurious amenities, easily earns the title of the best hotel in the area. What made my stay especially memorable was the extraordinary hospitality extended by Mr. ***ish Kumar and his dedicated team, including Surajpal. The warmth and professionalism they exhibited were unparalleled. Additionally, our driver, Mr. Bharat Singh, ensured that our travel experiences around Jaisalmer were comfortable and enjoyable. Their collective efforts significantly enhanced the quality of our stay, leaving an indelible impression on us.
As my husband and I wanted to experience an authentic stay in the Thar desert, we decided to book Sunny Desert Camp - best choice ever. Sunny picked us up by car in Jaisalmer. After welcoming us with a chai tea in the camp Sunny showed us around. The clean tents with ensuite bathrooms are well-maintained with cosy, comfortable beds. Sunny and his staff are very gracious and helpful. They are not only welcoming their guests but also making them feel like being in a home from home. This experienced and friendly staff made us feel very special. The food was excellent and plentiful. The camel safari was amazing - gently and safely riding the camels to a place viewing the gorgeous sunset in the dunes. It is an oasis and a gem from the hustle and bustle and noise of the city. At dinner time they served different types of local Rajasthani food accompanied by authentic local dancers and musicians. If you are looking for an authentic touch of Rajasthani culture in the desert, we think that there is no better place than Sunny Desert Camp. We highly recommend this place for an unforgettable experience and we definitely wish to come back to this unique Sunny Desert camp one time. Many thanks to the kind staff and Sunny for everything. Namaste 🙏
There are some places that meet you with an immediate familiarity and warmth, making you are their own - and some find a permanent home in you … staying with you, as a lingering joy long after the journey ends. Suryagarh at Jaisalmer was both. A spectacle of culture, heritage, beauty and refined sophistication - it welcomes you in a manner that sweeps you off your feet right at get go. In a world that tunes into the sound of chirping birds on apps designed for relaxation, you are pleasantly surprised by sparrows flitting back and forth in their natural freedom bringing the place alive in their delightful chirping. The opulent beauty and sheer elegance of this place makes it stands out like an oasis – not just in this desert but as a refreshing pause from the hectic world we operate in. Attention to detail was another level of worldclass. I enjoyed the nature walks around beautifully maintained property grounds, the splendid star-studded night sky, a fabulously organized sunset trip to the dunes… and fascinating stories and conversations with an extremely hospitable and welcoming staff. Yes, it is true that people make a place…. And the people here were exceptional in their care, service, friendliness and a genuine desire to go over and beyond. With much gratitude for the experience…. A heartfelt thanks to KRIPALINI. She is the best. Thank you for the spot on suggestions- from suggesting the therapies, to organizing the dune trip and the memorable camel ride … for insisting I try Meat chawal -which remained my staple for days and still evokes food cravings. Your lovely presence enhances the appeal of this place. The entire staff here including Panditji are wonderful. The Spa and pool are well appointed with a great offering of relaxation and healing therapies. They also have their own vegetable garden and a pet area complete with horses, dogs and other adorable creatures. I could not find one thing about this place that needed improvisation, even if I tried. Perfection all the way! This is not just a travel destination; it is an experience that will be savored for life. A must add to every traveler’s bucket list. I also stayed at their sister property - Narendra Bhavan in Bikaner, which too is wonderful. Will be checking out their third property in the mountains soon. If the MRS group ever came up with a loyalty program- I’d be the first to sign up! Absolutely committed. And the best part is they treat their employees like family – providing schooling for children of employees, fantastic accommodation and meals for the staff etc. It is an ethical, well run, visionary group. I wish them good luck. Will be returning frequently and cannot wait for them to expand their footprint across India.
Nice hotel in Jaisalmer. First visit to Jaisalmer and this is what we came for. The thar desert. Great sand dunes but was disappointed to see loads of rubbish and plastic bottles which show up everywhere. You can have a camel ride or jeep experience or simply take some stunning pics and enjoy the views which we did. We only spent half an hour here but if you go to Jaisalmer it’s not to be missed. It’s a short drive outside the main city. We did take a guide but it didn’t turn out as expected. Our hotel also did tours and they were half the price of the one we did, so shop around for something that suits. When we went during the afternoon it was not that busy, at night it gets busier and many stay in tents to sleep under starry skies. . The weather was glorious and we have beautiful photos of blue sky and yellow dunes with just us in the picture.
