From the moment we arrived, we knew we were someplace special. The staff was gracious and welcoming and showed us to our dreamlike room. The difference in location from the Golden Triangle to being closer to Pakistan was obvious and the decor reflects it nicely. The hotel is outside the castle walls. It is in between the lake and the castle and allows one to see the real local scene. A five minute walk in either direction gets you where you want to go. Ashrah, the owner, offered to sit down for coffee with us. He gave us some tips for where to shop and eat with locals. Knowing we had had some hardships before arriving, he also unexpectedly made an opportunity for us to get to a nearby five star hotel for a very special dinner. What an experience! We went on the camel safari, and it was extraordinary. Don't miss it. The staff aimed to please. They made it fun to climb the sand dunes at sunset and sunrise, and they took photos for us. Our leader was an incredible photographer and knew the angles for great take-home photos! I am sorry to not have his name - he was terrific. It was my daughter's birthday, and Ashraf and his staff arranged a cake, candles and sparkling water to take into the desert. It was hard to know if they were more excited or if I was, because they made it so fun. My daughter had such a great birthday! We opted for no tents. The stars were out in force, the desert breeze was intoxicating, and the carefree excursion was such a respite for us. It was more like being with friends than paying for tourism. After the safari, we were given a hotel room for showering and changing. Transportation with the hotel was arranged without a hitch coming and going, both train and airport. It is rare to find such a jewel with such personal service and warmth. Couldn't recommend it more highly! Totally made our trip! Hello to Ashraf and Navleen! We hope to see you again!
