I had one of the most disappointing experiences at The Mahal Inn, Jamshedpur. The main issue was the complete lack of hot water in the room throughout my stay. Despite repeatedly complaining to the staff, all I kept hearing was “hot water will come in 15 minutes.” Even after contacting Agoda about the problem, the hotel only gave me a single bucket of hot water and claimed the issue would be fixed by morning — but it never was. Because of this, I had no choice but to check out early, especially since I needed hot water for health reasons. What made the experience worse was the hotel’s casual attitude and false assurances. I reported everything to Agoda on the same day, yet the hotel has still not responded to Agoda’s inquiries, which has delayed my refund for weeks. This shows a complete lack of professionalism and accountability from the property. I even booked another hotel through Agoda immediately after checking out, which clearly proves that I didn’t leave without reason — I simply couldn’t continue staying here under such conditions. I would strongly caution future guests to avoid this hotel, as they fail to provide basic facilities like hot water and do not take customer complaints seriously.
