Wonderful charming environment. So peaceful, very rejuvenating for body & soul. So much fun & wow, the beds were so comfortable, & we had the deepest sleep in a long time. The owners were fantastic & some of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. We loved our stay at the Crossroads & plan to go back soon. Also the wildlife was spectacular, deer, pollinators( butterfly’s & bees) goats, chickens , & numerous other little animals. Oh & Einstein the wonder dog, toped off a great vacation. ♥️

I stayed at the rosemary cottage for the weekend and had a lovely time! The property is pretty with flowers, stretched along the backside, and some goats and chickens too! Everything in town is so convenient, you can even walk there if you like. Several cute shops, galleries, and places to eat. Kristin is a super host! She checked on me a couple times and it’s just a lovely person all around! I would definitely come back here and recommend it for a quiet getaway. The cottage had 2 bathrobes, a mini fridge and a Keurig machine and microwave. And Hulu for TV if you chose to stay in. The rosemary cottage was an open concept in the main room. With a separate small bedroom off the main, furnished with two twin beds if you had guests. A closed door for the small bedroom for privacy. The bathroom was off the main room, and perfectly tidy and well appointed. Soaps and shampoos, and a hairdryer were provided! Water was nice and hot and there was an AC and heat unit for perfect temperature. A cute little back porch with a table and chairs for your enjoyment too! What a cute little country town! Very peaceful yet many things to do locally. There was a motorcycle museum, Lyndon B. Johnson Center & Homestead, and a small local Nature park (Pedernales River Nature Park $5) minutes away. Wildflower Season in April made it extra special! Flowers blooming on every roadside and field! I would definitely come again !

This was the perfect place for us to stay during a big, multi-day wedding at one of the nearby wineries and resorts, and much better for us than a hotel or the wedding locales. My husband and I stayed in the very spacious Rosemary Cottage, and it was great to have the second bedroom for all of our clothes, not to mention being able to park right outside our front door. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the sitting chairs were very appreciated. We stayed for five nights and bought our own Kuerig pods for the coffeemaker, so we had an ample supply. I was jealous, however, of the jacuzzi tub in my sister's cottage! Kristin was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations for restaurants and even a hair salon. She also had an ironing board waiting for me in the room, as requested. The grounds are beautiful and we very much enjoyed walking around to look at the trees, bird feeders, deer, chickens, and goats. The location was very convenient to town, along with our post-wedding excursions to Pedernales Falls, the LBJ Ranch, Fredericksburg, and Enchanted Rock. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely the loveliest locally owned Inn we've ever stayed at. All the amenities we needed, super clean, unlimited hot water, extremely comfortable mattress, fluffy pillows, fridge, microwave and a Keurig, I could go on.......Next time we're in the area this is where we'll stay! Christine is a wonderful hostess.

We had a great time at the Crossroad Inn! It’s a very off the beaten path get away. The cabins are very clean, comfortable and up to date. The grounds are very inviting and the chickens and goats are friendly. It’s an easy few blocks from Main Street. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Great hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We would very much recommend it and will stay there again. The chickens and goats were a great addition. We loved Einstein the dog that greeted us.

We were very pleased with our stay there. Rooms were very clean and cozy. The owner was very pleasant and helpful with breakfast and dinner recommendations. The goats and chickens were fun to watch as we walked around the beautiful property. This place was definitely worth staying at and we will be repeat guests.

Love our time at crossroads inn. The cabins are spacious and have everything needed and enjoy being greeted by the inns dog Einstein. Very convenient to everything in town and not far from Fredericksburg

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! My husband and I arrived late but we were greeted warmly at the front door by our host. She showed us our room and I was blown away with how comfortable and spacious our room was. The bathroom was huge! The best part was the amazing balcony that was decorated with huge comfy chairs. We enjoyed a glass of wine as we watched storm clouds full of lightning in the distance. After a great night sleep, we left the next morning planning our next trip back.

Contrary to the hurrah about the place we were the only guests for 2 days unless all others sneaked in and left afoot. This is a 1 b place. There was no breakfast nor breakfast pastries. There were no dishes or utensils or sink with water for cooking if one chose to do that. A dining place in town that was recommended was unsatisfactory. The ice box had no functional freezer. It was old-times tiny, had no trays for ice and frost in it was an inch thick. The Hulu tv is very user unfriendly. The coffee maker didn’t work as needed. There was 1 tiny soap bar in the bathroom. People passing could peer into the cabin through through gaps in curtains. I’m glad to have experienced Johnson City for 2 days. Small unattended yellow flowered sprouts near the room were interesting. The cool morning breeze was refreshing

Though we could have simply charged him for the room, as a courtesy, we allowed him to use the room later, and he seemed angry about that even though we went out of our way for him. So this review is about money. We will respond just so folks thinking of staying here have the information. We have not served breakfast for nearly three years, and this is listed in bold on the front page of our website; it was there when this guest booked their room. We have several good restaurants within minutes of our inn that serve a nice breakfast. We have never had kitchens in the rooms in the nearly 20 years this inn has been in business, and our website makes that clear; so the criticism that there were no cooking utensils in the room is nonsensical. We do place small bars of soap in the rooms, like all hotels, as most guests use them once and toss them out. We put two bars in every room, plus a large, luxury doterra hand soap, and we are always happy to give a guest more soap if they ask. Our curtains do fully cover the windows. The room this guest was staying in had both a pull down shade and black out curtains, so no one could see in. This guest says at one point that no other guests were here, then he says in the same review, that other guests were looking in his windows. Which is it? We went out of our way for this guest again, and again. We showed this guest how to use the Hulu television system, which most guests enjoy and find easy-to-use. We also showed this guest how to use the brand new Keurig coffee maker in the room, which worked perfectly. We aim to please, that's why we are sold out almost every weekend and have hundreds of glowing reviews. We are an AirBnB Superhost, recently were given TripAdvisor's prestigious Travelers' Choice award and Conde Nast Traveler's online magazine even featured and recommended us in an article this year. We'll let the hundreds of positive reviews speak for themselves.

This country home is about 40 years old, but represents the older home which had been originally constructed in the mid 1800's. The Taste of the Country Suite is upstairs with easy access to the second story porch, which spans the entire second floor home front and is equipped with seating chairs/tables and a lovely wicker porch swing. The prevailing south easterly breeze and distant sounds of chickens add to the charm which enables one to "become lost". The Inn is located a few blocks north of the downtown square and very convenient to the Texas Wine Trail. It has a country feel and is very peaceful and quiet. The owner/manager, Kristin Lang , is a noted journalist from New York, and seems to be very eager to satisfy and provide great service to her guests. Our suite was clean, comfortable, and very well appointed. I have no reservations in recommending The Crossroads Inn. Be sure to get to know Einstein, the dog, and Cowboy, the cat, who definitely add to the charm of the Inn.

Arrived here from Halifax on a girlie overnight stay Found it by off chance and it’s a wonderful country pub ! Just outside Halifax ! Lovely comfortable en-suite room ! Immaculate ! Cracking atmosphere , amazing staff Lauren and Millie and Oscar welcomed us and made us feel so welcomed . Views are amazing, food is out of this world ! Throughly recommend this lovely pub !

I love this property. The cottages give you "your own space" feel. Cottage 1 and 2 are like a duplex with 4" wall separating the units. My unit was very clean and had a nice comfy bed! As a side note, I loved the linens. The mini fridge has a separate freezer section which allowed me to actually refreeze my cold packs for my traveling cooler. A nice touch that you don't normally get with an in room mini fridge. Kristen, the owner, is a great host, wonderful conversationalist, and was able to give great food recommendations. I'm planning on coming back for a girls weekend!

My wife and I wanted a special 20th anniversary getaway trip. We did not want to travel far. Some friends recommended a small Inn in Johnson City Texas not far from us, only about an hour away. The Crossroads Inn is centrally located to the vineyards and special sites of the Hill Country. it is rustic with a true Hill Country vibe. We were greeted by Kristen, the owner. We were only staying two nights at the Inn in one of the cabins. It was equipped with a Keurig, microwave and fridge. Kristen was able to recommend great restaurants and vineyards for us to visit. We had an incredible anniversary getaway. I recommend this place highly and is a true Gem in the Hill Country.

I have stayed at The Crossroads Inn several times both in the main house and in the little cottages. It’s my go to stay for Johnson City! It’s very close to the downtown area where all the cute shops and best dinning options are. Self check in was super easy. I’ve met the owner on a few occasions she is sweet and has great recommendations for around town. The free range chickens clucking, the little heard of goats, and garden beads full of plants that attract butterflies make the grounds adorable for the perfect Texas hill country experience! Love the quilts in every room. Will be back again for sure.
