My wife and I started our weekend business trip/visit with family for Easter on Friday, April 15,2022 by entering our room (230) to find a stink bug climbing the wall. We didn’t notice any others and brushed it off as we know they can be anywhere. Being woken up in the middle of the night yelling because one was in our bed on her leg was not fun and rather concerning. She was ready to pack up and leave. This morning as we were preparing to check out we found another on our comforter. (Picture attached) Almost more concerning was the response we received from the front desk employee whose response when we voiced our concern was,”yeah that’s kinda what happens here, they’re native to the area and come in the vents”. No apology, no sympathetic reaction. Unfortunately in a business where customer service is so important, I am very disappointed in this stay and response from the staff. This event is something I will certainly take into account when traveling in the future. If there is no concern on the part of the Hampton Inn and Hilton Group about “native bugs” I suggest adding a disclaimer that you may be sharing your room with stink bugs right on your website.
