This place is a dump! Our room was prepaid so we stayed 10 days. During this whole time the room was cleaned and towels replaced ONE TIME!!!!!! When I called to ask when the room would be cleaned, I was told with a rude tone of voice - "You need to schedule cleaning. If we have time, we will schedule it. Their excuse for poor service and bad attitude - Covid 19. This is BS. They just do not care and do not deserve to be in business.

This hotel is in decay, it is a low tier, and still expensive, though rather affordable for Kona, I wouldn't recommend it for tourists. Expect a 1.5 or 2.0-star experience. Expect people to be living in the rooms. Expect to see the real bad side of Kona, Crystal Meth, even though they have to fight it, and they are. So the police are there at least 4 times a week. To their credit, Uncle Billys is remodeling and cleaning up this hotel.
