國際五星標準，服務員每個都熱情有禮貌，英文標準，迎賓和送客都有傳統舞蹈和歌唱，很驚喜！房間很好，設計合理，夠大，很舒適，酒店距科倫坡一小時路程，交通也算方便。娛樂活動很多，可以打檯球，下巨型國際象棋，桌麪足球，這些都免費，還有水上活動和射箭應該是要收費的 ，未體驗。還被老外拉着唱了卡拉OK，衹有英文歌。酒店本身很美，很大，像一個一麪是海一麪是湖的大公園。我們訂的園景房，被升級到池景，這個非常不好，非常吵！兩天都沒睡好！早上天一亮烏鴉就在開會！下午都是各種拉椅子的聲音，傍晚更可怕，成羣的烏鴉聚集在泳池邊，還在泳池裡洗澡！要住的話最好訂海景房！那邊也有泳池。海水很好，但也是浪很大，下不去。傍晚去海邊溜達溜達看看日落很美。是應該還會再來的酒店。

Location and Access – About 2 hours’ drive by Expressway from Colombo Airport. The hotel has a beachfront location on a peninsular on the outskirts of Kulatara. Shops and services can be found in Kalutara A number of pictures of the hotel can be seen on Google Street View. Booking – I made a very last minute room booking on Agoda – this is where all my troubles began. Agoda confirmed the booking and payment was authorised from my bank. Unfortunately reception at the hotel did not receive any information on my booking. As a consequence I had to pay the hotel direct to secure the room . I then tried to contact Agoda to find out what had happened and was faced with what seemed like a torrent of ChatGPT generated acknowledgements - full of flummery and with no obvious way of contacting a “real” person. Eventually I did manage to email someone and got a response with information embedded somewhere between a ChatGPT worded salutation and valedicton. I spent considerable time trying to resolve this situation It should be noted that I also had to contact the Avani Hotel direct to try and sort things out and I must compliment their customer service staff. (Jonathon and Nuwan). Unlike Agoda I had an immediate response from a real person and was delighted with the way they dealt with an issue raised by one of their guests and would thank them for their support Reception – Despite the difficulties mentioned above the staff on Reception were very understanding in their dealings with me Public Areas/Decor – The hotel buildings sprawl over a wide area and include seating areas, library, bars and restaurants. All fresh with modern décor and furnishings. There is a large outdoor pool with loungers etc. and direct access to the sandy beach. The whole property sits in well maintained grounds. Guest Room –This was comfortable with large double bed, adjoining shower room, tea and coffee making and mini fridge. Ocean front with a furnished balcony Amenities including Entertainment – Large flat screen TV with a limited number of channels. Ample electrical sockets. Free WiFi was very good Lighting – A variety of lighting options Air Conditioning – Very good including ceiling fan Noise – I was not disturbed by any noise Food & Beverage – The restaurant serves a buffet dinner and a la carte is available from the bar. After the hassle of dealing with the booking problem – did not have the appetite for the buffet and chose a la carte from a very limited menu. My partners prawns were pronounced delicious but my burger was inedible. However, the buffet breakfast was exceptionally good with eggs and hoppers made to order and also a wide range of fruits, cooked items and local dishes and fresh bakery items. Cappuccino’s made to order were a treat from the usual “hotel coffee”.
