It’s great to stay here, view is good . And it’s really comfortable staying here.

Nice spot and quite with lake next door, not bad

24 years after the opening, the resort is not the same. Not so clean, not so bright as official pictures try to show it. The best example is the marina, the place where you expecte to find motor boats and waterskiing. Bad idea, it's the place of flooded piers, dirty water and old boats on the ground. If you want to stay in a place where you are like a prisoner, and not a guest, it's realy the best place to be. The only positive point are the maids, and people working in the garden, who try to help you when you are lost. But you need nothing, please ask to the front office, the good place to have no answer to your question about what to do in the area.

The room was great, wonderful view of the lake a few feet away. It was quiet and with the best shower water pressure! Water pressure is key. :-) Best part about the stay was the very kind staff...I couldn't pick out just one. Everyone was friendly and polite. It was exactly what I needed for a midweek staycation.

I had the pleasure of meeting Isha Kamoga at the reception upon my arrival, and her exceptional customer service set the tone for my entire stay. Recognizing my exhaustion, she graciously guided me through the hotel's amenities while I relaxed in their comfortable chairs. Such attention to detail and care truly made my experience memorable. I look forward to returning to Speke Resort Hotel because of the outstanding service I received.

Magnifique endroit pour passer des vacances loin de tout. Personnel tres a l’ecoute, ca donne envie d’y passer des vacances en famille . La vue sur le lac victoria est superbe ! La temperature etait agreable, la végétation chatoyante mais il faut je n’ai pas testé la piscine qui a l’air sympa

El hotel es magnifico, habitaciones grandes y limpias muchas actividades y una gran piscina, el desayuno muy completo y el personal muy atento, en especial una camarera que nos atendió con mucha simpatía, recuerdo que se llamaba Annette, una estancia muy agradable

I had a great night . The place is beautiful, the service is amazing, and everyone was super nice especially the receptionist Olivia. She was so welcoming and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. Food and service were top notch. I would recommend that the hotel considers providing vanity kits for use by guests

The atmosphere, environment and services was superb. Staff were doing a good job, the meals were topnotch. Conducive and perfect

I checked into this hotel at about 3 a.m. My check in seemed to take an eternity after a day of travel and three separate flights. Breakfast is included but for some reason the hotel issues a paper ticket for each day and takes the time to stamp each one for no apparent reason. These slips of paper were collected by either the host or waitstaff on some days, but not all. My luggage was piled onto a golf cart and I embarked to accompany the very pleasant porter to my room which was in a separate building. It faced out into a parking lot and the sliding door didn’t lock. This seems to be a huge security oversight, as there are people who are not staying at the hotel on site. Actually, although there is a huge to-do at the main drive-through entry way with two separate security checks that sometimes include forcing people out of their cars to empty their pockets, it seemed to me perfectly plausible that the place could be stormed from the lake or a boat filled with explosives could be driven into the shoreline and blow the place sky high. I saw no evidence of any security along the shore, and due to the chronic flooding, there is not much space between it and the buildings. Additionally, regarding security, there is a detector at the main hotel building entryway, but no one uses it. Everyone just passes through the open doors. There is no apparent security elsewhere. So, given that there are multiple buildings on the resort campus it does seem a bit like the security is for show to a guest at the hotel. They kindly changed my room the next day to a room with an interior garden view after I complained about the inability to lock the sliding door to the balcony. The room was simple but nice, with a mosquito net over the bed (although it had holes in it (defeating the purpose) which I sewed up with my own thread and needle brought from home). There is shampoo and soap provided, and there is a small mini fridge and a safe for valuables in the room. However, there were no slippers, dressing gowns, sewing kits, etc. that one would expect in a hotel billing itself as a luxury establishment. The gardens are gorgeous and are maintained by women, who also shovel the horse droppings that fall on the roads into the flowerbeds. These are due to people riding through from the riding school next door., which is a part of the resort. Not all the restaurants were open during my lengthy stay. The one by the shoreline is inaccessible due to flooding and I believe it has been closed for years. The shoreline has been flooded for at least four years. mainly ate at the main one. The food was good, but after a week or so I was really tired of it. Some nights I had room service, but I found there wasn’t actually a lot I wanted to eat after a few nights. I tried the banana stew which was fantastic, and served in the restaurant piping hot, but massive and I couldn’t eat even half of it. The vegetable wrap was also good, but after eating it three times, I couldn’t bear

The location is ideal for conference services with good supervision, responsiveness. The environment and food is also good.

It was an amazing experience, with a very jovial and supportive staff. We enjoyed the horse riding, swimming and lake view

We had good time during our stay at speke, we most especially enjoyed the friends massage at calabash spa. I really extend my thanks to the spa team for the great services.
