The hotel was as expected for the price and reputation, except that the same overnight clerk at both 9am and 5am was just terrible.
They were in a miserable mood, but more likely they were also a miserable person in general. They made zero effort to be friendly. They may have been crying or were very sick, so who knows what's going on there.
Sample: When I checked out, they asked if I wanted a receipt. I declined, and they went back to typing on their computer. I waited for a minute, expecting they were filling out a form and there would be some kind of confirmation that the transaction was complete. I eventually asked if that was all, and they snottily said yes. Wow!
I didn't lose any sleep over it, and my general experience was good, but I just can't believe this person found their way into the customer service industry.
