底比河野生動物園酒店(Thebe River Safaris)

Attenzione inesistente, camere sporche puzza di umidità impregnante I servizi di Safari sono ottimi ma la attenzione pessima, il ristorante lontano ( buono e con buona attenzione) non riesce a migliorare la mia opinione Da evitare senza dubbi

il lodge si presenta bene ma è molto caro rispetto ad altri lodge di Kasane. il personale è poco "friendly"; il ristorante è distante dalle camere ed ha prezzi alti; inoltre abbiamo chiesto 2 breakfast packs al posto della normale colazione dato che dovevamo partire all'alba il giorno successivo e cosi ci hanno fatto aspettare un ora per poi consegnarci 1 tramezzino ad un piccolo succo di frutta a testa. Per il prezzo pagato per una notte il lodge offre servizi al di sotto degli standard attesi.

This hotel has small rooms which smell rare, not very clean. The personnel on reception is not friendly, the service was bad. On the second day no towels and water was left in our room. We had to discuss with receptionist to get towels (never got water). Will never stay there again. Restaurant, instead, was Ok and Chobe park safari and river safari were excellent. Looks like these are 2 different structures run by different people…

Thebe River Safaris organised all of our activities whilst my Husband and I stayed at Jackalberry Chobe [Sister Co.] and Neighbours, along the Chobe River, Kasane, Botswana. An outstanding duo that made our Honeymoon such a memorable experience. Our activities included 3 Game Drives, a Sunset Cruise and an early morning Sunrise Cruise on the Chobe river. Our Guide Shimisu introduced himself when he collected us from Jackalberry for our first Game Drive and informed us that he would be our Guide for the duration of our stay … with a cool box packed with ice and drinks for our first Safaris loaded onto our open sided 4x4 safari vehicle … off we drove to the Chobe National Park. Shimisu was very knowledgeable and was able to provide, at times, a humorous commentary on the animals we encountered. We were extremely lucky to see 4 of the BIG 5; Lion, Buffalo, Elephant and Leopard. Unfortunately, there are no longer Rhino in the Chobe National Park as they’ve been moved to private sanctuaries for their safety and protection. So much other game was seen during our safaris from Hippo to various species of Antelope, Zebra, Giraffe and Crocodile and all of our game drives were different. This was down to Shimisu’s experience, knowledge of the area and tracks he followed. We couldn’t have chosen a better Company for our African adventure. During our stay at Jackalberry, we also visited the Thebe Safari Lodge, Campsite, Bar and Restaurant where we experienced their first-class hospitality and infamous pizza’s. Whilst we did not stay at the lodge, it looked very comfortable, cozy, clean and well equipped and as this lodge is owned and operated by the same Company that owns Jackalberry, I have no doubt that the level of service would exceed any guests expectations. no recommendation, there is the garbage dump of the whole city nearby. and sometimes the garbage burns. the toxic smog comes to the place when there is no wind, especially at night Many big noisy Overlander groups Fenced area , no Good River Look

This game drive was enjoyable, given that we could find neither cats nor even elephants. We particularly liked the hippos, baboons, wart hogs and giraffes. I think our driver felt bad about not finding elephants or lions, as we should have been back at the lodge for 9.30 and didn’t return until 10.30. There are no guarantees on these trips though.

We found the hotel extremely over priced. It should be half the price, or less. The room is very basic. The decor in the common areas is fairly sp**** and dated. They even wanted to charge us to borrow their international adaptor! The service at the restaurant was slow but the staff there were nice. The location is good though. We would not recommend it (unless maybe they drop their price and you're looking for something with no frills.)
