Outstanding location with stunning views!! A five minute drive to town and at the Inn you are in nature with deer on the front lawn at dusk. Michele and Derick are the most hospitable hosts ever standing ready to assist with any request! The abundant porches offer numerous outdoor seating options to enjoy breakfast with a view. The Mountain View room had was the perfect getaway room with an abundance of windows to enjoy the views and fresh air along with one the of best fireplaces to warm the room on a cool morning! This is the place to stay if you are visiting the Lexington area!

My husband and I spent one night at the Inn and how we wished we could have stayed longer. The hospitality experience was stellar, from the warm welcome we received from Derick and Michele to the afternoon treats (she remembered I needed gluten-free!) to the breakfast menus and perfectly made up room. We found thoughtful touches everywhere and soaked in the serenity of the porch and the beautiful mountain views. Breakfast was delicious. We drove the short distance into town for a yummy dinner at Harden’s and would recommend that as well. Brierley Hill is a special place to truly recharge, and we hope to return!

Location was beautiful. Quiet and serene with a gorgeous view. There was a fabulous covered porch where we ate the delicious breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great place to go to, reasonably priced...Inn is very well kept...staff was very friendly and helpful and they made our stay so relaxing...they were incredible. The Chef made breakfasts that was out of this world. The views from main deck at the Inn were incredible. Can't wait to return.

We only got to spend one night at Brierley Hill, but I would have happily stayed much longer. The ambience and view from the porch was idyllic. We saw mama and baby deer and lots of hummingbirds! The common areas, the seating on the porch, and the bedroom were all perfect. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and lovely. Derek and Michele made us a custom order breakfast which was amazing! They had great suggestions for places to eat. I feel so lucky to have stayed here and hope to come back again some day.

My husband surprised me with this beautiful getaway for my birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. I truly enjoyed the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was incredibly cozy, with a comfy bed and stunning scenery, just what I needed to clear my mind. Michele and Derick, the owners, were so kind and hospitable, and the breakfast was absolutely incredible. I especially loved the breakfast casserole, French toast, fluffy eggs, and fresh fruit. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy this hidden gem again!

Stayed in the Shenandoah suite and it was an Absolute dream stay, the evening and morning views are killer, unlike any conventional stay—breakfast was PERFECT!!! The Inn keepers were easy to communicate with and super kind. The room was clean, cute and the large soaking tub was perfect after a day of long travel! Will be back again!

Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer! The Inn itself is lovely--welcoming, tasteful decor throughout with lots of seating areas to curl up with a book or beverage (there are coffee stations in each room as well as the dining room and upstairs sitting rooms!), large windows on all sides to look out onto the lawn or to the tree-lined hills. Our room had it's own outdoor swing and gas fire pit which we enjoyed both evenings and the two electric fireplaces in the suite kept things cozy indoors as well. Having a mini fridge was great for storing our own snacks and wine but the room had wineglasses and a bottle opener, coffee mugs and a Keurig, & water bottles in the fridge. We gladly accepted an offer of a small carafe of real milk to keep there if we didn't want the non-dairy creamer provided. The Belgian waffle and spinach souffle in puff pastry were delicious and filling and the berries surprisingly sweet for late in season. And the bacon!! We learned ours was the last room waiting for a touch-up but wouldn't have guessed it was needed (a little sad to hear the spa bath may be replaced by an outdoor hot tub as we prefer an indoor soaking tub). The best thing the Inn has to offer is its innkeepers. Derick and Michele are truly the heart of it all with their greetings, stories, cooking, and more. We hope we can stop in again as travels bring us through the area.

My wife and I immediately felt welcomed into the Inn with a menu to select our breakfast the next morning and the our room ready for us way earlier than expected. The stay was so peaceful, the views are incredible, and the breakfast was the highlight for us each day!

We enjoyed our time at the inn. The breakfasts were excellent, the rooms were clean and cozy and the view was beautiful. We felt well cared for and the owners went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed.

We just love the Brierlye inn and its beautiful views as well as convenience to W&L! The breakfast is delicious and the innkeepers are accommodating. Our daughter was able to join us for breakfast at the end of a very fun parents weekend.I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!!

Michele and Derick were the perfect hosts! They were welcoming, accommodated our needs and took excellent care of us while we were there. They are excellent innkeepers! The rooms are well appointed, beds comfortable, and the breakfasts delicious and generous; the menu choices you get to choose will blow you away! The inn has a terrace with incredible views of the blue ridge mountains on one side and the Appalachian range on the other. Deer, and various birds visit the property; all mornings I awoke to birds singing; it was quite enchanting. Thanks so much for making a visit to Lexington VA such an amazing experience!

Absolutely wonderful stay at the Inn. Our suite was a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sight-seeing. The jet tub was just what we needed for sore muscles from all the walking and hiking we did. The bed was just as comfortable, if not more so, than our bed at home. We loved our private patio where we enjoyed sitting on the swing to view the beautiful scenery around us and the lounge chairs to read a good book. The breakfasts? Oh my gosh were they delicious. I asked for the recipes and hope to replicate them at home. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend to others.

We strongly concur with the reviews by other guests. Our weekend stay was THE best B&B experience ever. Big factors for us: 1. Fabulous accommodation (we stayed in one of the cottages). (a) Comfortable bed; (b) spacious bathroom / shower; (c) functional kitchen; (d) private porch with mountain views; and (e) excellent accessories / system controls 2. Proximity to downtown Lexington 3. Creative breakfast options (thank you Sarah!) served in a delightful setting 4. Peaceful setting 5. From our perspective, a great VALUE
