My partner and I stayed at Brookfield B&B for 5 nights to explore the Lake District and we couldn't have asked for a more welcoming base for our trip. From the moment we arrived, Lorna's hospitality made it feel like we were staying with an old friend - one that happens to have a serious talent for perfectly cooked eggs. Breakfast each morning quickly became a small highlight of our stay: made-to-order, delicious and always served with a smile. The menu is highly customizable with many options available. In addition, Lorna was always available to offer tips, directions and inside advice for our days' plans. Our room was exactly as described with a very comfortable bed and little touches such as a well-stocked coffee/tea service and guides to help plan your day. We left well-fed, well-rested and possibly with a few pounds extra (entirely Lorna's fault - we have no regrets!). Thank you again for welcoming us with such care!

We stayed for three nights to explore Keswick, Windemere, and go up Scafell Pike. The room, the teas/coffees/hot chocolates by the bed, the array of food available for breakfast as well as the menu itself, and Lorna's service was so brilliant. My partner and I felt right at home at the Brookfield, and I will remember it as the first place I ever tried a Horlicks! We will be coming back next time we visit the Lake District! One of the friendliness places we've stayed at. We was greated by Simon. And on entering our room there was a birthday cake/card and a box of chocolates.There was also wine .lovely thoughtful touch . Breakfast was amazingly cooked by Lorna. And we also found out that Simon was from our neck of the woods . So had loads to talk about over Breakfast.. the b+b is only 20min lovely walk into town. And there is street parking just across the road. We will be back..

We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Lorna. We kwamen, nat van de regen, binnen en ze had alvast de kachel opgestookt. Heerlijk om in warme kamers te komen. Simon zagen we bij het ontbijt. Hij kan elke vraag die je over Keswick of de omgeving hebt, beantwoorden. De b&b ligt buiten het centrum, op een heuvel. Wij hadden geen eigen vervoer. Verschillende bussen rijden vanuit het centrum langs de b&b. 2 pond per persoon per rit. Wij waren met zijn vieren. We namen meestal de taxi, die kostte 5 pond.

We stayed for 6 nights with our 3 small dogs. Oh it was lovely. Lorna really did take wonderful care of us. She is simply delightful and so kind. The room was perfect and the breakfast was the best we have ever had. This place is special. We will definitely return. Thank you Lorna. Jo, Martin, Bob, Moo and little Wilfred xxxx

We stayed over a bank holiday weekend and had a great stay at Brookfield B&B. The cooked breakfast was delicious, the portion sizes were generous, you could mix and match the breakfast options and a huge variety of different condiments and sauces were available. Service always came with a smile with great recommendations on what to see and do in the area. The room itself was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The bed and sofa were both very comfortable. Location was great as well, on the edge of Keswick so well connected to the Lakes but avoiding the traffic jams in Keswick centre.

Don’t hesitate to book this beautiful little B&B. So peaceful, we never heard anyone else the whole weekend. You absolutely won’t be disappointed. We’ve just had the most relaxing stay. Lorna is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to ensure you’re comfortable and very well fed with the best breakfast we’ve ever had. The choice on offer is fantastic and she caters for all needs. Stan our Bedlington was welcomed every morning with a sausage. And I forgot to say thank you for the treat for him at our door. Great location for Keswick centre and walking distance to plenty of pubs and bars. Thank you for the most wonderful stay and we already can’t wait to return

Where to start. Communication from Lorna right from the star was spot on. We had a couple of questions about our dogs and immediately were put at ease. Our welcome was warm and genuine and she told us everything we needed to know. We had a family room which was at the top of the house and was spacious and extremely well equipped. An array of teas to put a 5 star hotel to shame and everything from ear plugs to fluffy white towels in the bathroom. The beds were extremely comfy and we both slept really well. Whilst we were on the front of the property, the road is very quiet throughout the night. The views to Latrigg, at the rear are stunning. Breakfast was incredible. My friend had the full works and couldn’t eat it all and Lorna’s sense of humour came to the fore when I ordered sausage, egg and tomato (see pic). There is every jam, honey, peanut butter you could ever want plus gluten free options for the cereals. Yoghurts, juices, fruits, cheese and bars, which you are welcome to help yourself to at any time, of just at breakfast. Brookfield is a steady 20-25 minute into the centre of Keswick so once the car was parked on the road opposite, it didn’t move for the 3 nights. Lorna is the absolute epitome of a proper B&B landlady and we had a brilliant and relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

This place is just lovely! Like a home from home, so friendly and welcoming. Quality food at breakfast each morning! Clean and cosy room we took out little border who was very welcomed also! Lots of lovely little touches which made our stay great! We will be back for sure 🥰

We had an amazing stay at this guesthouse in Keswick. The hosts were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us - they really made the stay special. The room was spotless and super comfortable. Breakfast was a real highlight - superb, with loads of choice and all really fresh. Perfect way to start the day before heading out. The location is great too, nice and close to town and ideal for exploring the area. Would 100% stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Keswick. Lorna is a lovely and attentive host who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable after a long day walking and the breakfast was top notch - one of the best fry ups I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back!

A wonderful stay hosted by a wonderful person. Lorna is the epitome of genuine and goes above and beyond to ensure that you have the best stay. Salem is an added extra ‍⬛ and happy to say hello if you like a furry greeting. Breakfast was AMAZING! If you are in the area or planning a trip to the area, would recommend staying here. We had a lovely stay at the Brookfield B&B. This place had everything we needed and more, including a hostess that went above and beyond. Lorna thank you so much for a lovely stay! Just a quick review of The Brookfield guest house at Keswick. Stayed for one night in Feb as a couple with our golden retriever. Easy to find and you can park across the road up a quiet country lane. Lauren welcomed us upon arrival and made us very comfortable showing us to our room and giving us what we needed to know. The room was huge and en suite and even had a sofa ! Literally everything you could need was in the room from tea n coffee to towels and torches...the room was warm and the bedding superb. Breakfast was amazing with cereals, fruits, cheese..full English or whatever you wanted. Took about twenty minutes to walk into Keswick via old railway line but i have a dodgy knee so more reasonably 10 to 15. Definitely go again. Lovely little place.
