Horrible. Would give it 0 starts if I could. Room are dirty and water system leaking. Pool is filthy - when I mean filthy I mean it. Beach and resort in good area but with the way management is at this place it won’t go far. Room had two queen beds and only allowed 1 car per room. We had visitors and they were telling the guest they needed to pay 75$ to be there for a few hours. Do yourself a favor and do not say here

My husband and I went there to spend the night to be close to the beach for our anniversary. Our bathroom had hair. The bed seemed dirty The remote was disgusting The TV volume would not work Called the front desk and no one answered, I had to use my cell phone for someone to pick up. We left as it appeared deserted at 8:30 PM. After Less than four hours the staff in the front said oh we’re so sorry for your stay left a message for the manager and they did not want to reimburse me the night. I then called back at two days later and they were only willing to reimburse me half of the room when we didn’t even stay there, the manager, Jacqueline doesn’t even call back. Horrible service, do not stay there

The gentleman at reception wasn’t very welcoming from the start. My husband had been quoted a rate but it wasn’t honored when we got there, paid 100 more than we were expecting. But what ruined it for us was that we had two rooms and when we did a walk thru to the second room, where our daughter and her friends were going to stay at, we saw broken glass in the floor. We reported it to the front desk man and he said he had no one to clean it up but when security arrived he would send them. No security ever showed up, what they did was leave a raggedy broom by the door! If we hadn’t noticed this, and not told my kid not to get barefoot, I assure you they would have gotten hurt! Incredible

Very old hotel that could use a little upkeep, BUT it was very clean. The rooms were spacious and both double beds very comfortable. The pool was huge and well kept. I dont think you'll find a better deal right on the water in Key Biscayne. Also, a great location with many businesses within walking distance via beach or sidewalk

A diamond in the rough, for sure. Spent four nights in a spacious room right by the beach. Unbelievable location, right on the beach! The rooms are run down, everything is off-kilter, the A/C is noisy, but the water pressure in shower is great, the room was impeccably clean, the staff very kind. I would happily stay again!

Retro and we enjoyed that. Nice beach access and pool area. Funky and worn down motel. Their restaurant blew away with hurricane Andrew. Clean, but harsh chemical cleaners used so we had to air it out. Other reviews were accurate so we knew the pros and cons. No regrets.

Amazing hospitality and great location .The food was delicious and the ambience was great.we stayed for 2 nights at only however would like to come back again for this experience . Must try for a gateway to nature

Resort front desk, Mr. Juan was very courteous and professional. The resort is perfect for a weekend getaway and celebrating with the family any special day. We celebrated Father’s Day weekend at Silver Sands Resort and it was amazing! The resort has a nice size pool, rooms are right on the beach and rooms meet your basic needs. The room service personnel were very friendly and helpful. The resort is very clean. We are definitely returning to Silver Sands Resort! Thank you for making our Father’s Day weekend, an exceptional one; we will always treasure! Can’t wait to return to Silver Sands Resort.

10/10 If you're looking for an amazing beach, in between Ritz, Carlton and the Oceana resorts, look no further SilverSands is a gem, old Lillian style motel, Leo, with a fantastic, saltwater, pool, amenities, umbrellas and chairs for a couple bucks and location location location The rooms are clean, well appointed and comfortable, If you are looking for a champagne dispenser in the hallway or opulence when you go next-door for $500 My best recollection is while standing on the beach, looking back at the motel, you don't even see it behind the Sandune, it's a beautiful, natural setting, people are super friendly, and down to earth

Stayed here for a few nights and would stay again. The pool was perfect and the courtyard was lovely to sit and drink my morning coffee. To have two large beds with room to walk and a little kitchenette with a coffee maker and a sink with a fridge. You can't beat it. The area is amazing and getting to the beach was a breeze. Got to see some Sea Turtle nests. After reading the reviews I decided to focus on the good ones and I'm glad I did because I had zero complaints and 100% would recommend it to anyone. I had a wonderful stay. Thank you Silver Sands. I will be back.

Great pool and grounds with direct access to the beach. Not a generic Best Western- a few comfort corners cut with a great return! Eat at the Golden Hog. Can’t be picky here ..the property is very well kept with super clean rooms. Lots to explore on the key- state park and light house for one. Family friendly area.

At one quarter of the price of its neighboring hotels, Silver Sands is a bargain find. The grounds are lovely , with many specimen plantings, palm trees, a shady expanse of lawn. The heated pool is large and warm. Beach out front best on the 3-mile crescent . Rooms are large, dated. Daily maid service attentive. Each room has a kitchenette with small frig, microwave, dishes, coffee maker. We hated to leave!

If you want cheap beachside lodging with no attention to amenities, this is your place. The place needs a much needed revamp,broken fixtures and furniture, doors don't lock, courtyard is beautiful but not maintained. Broken plumbing., patio on the ocean front property is falling apart. No one on site to fix problems. Kitchen has no supplies and there is no restaurant. It is basically a motel on the beach. The name solver sands resort is criminal. Good for those who want to spend all their time outside and just need a bed for crashing. There are 3 oceanfront rooms. The one we had had a lot of problems. Extremely poor for paying $400.00 per night.

Great little noir motel right on the beach. On Key Biscayne you have 2 choices this or the Ritz. The Ritz is first class but extraordinarily expensive and very crowded. A hamburger will run you about $25 and a margarita $20. Id prefer to make my own with the Sands kitchenette and a (carry about) mini bar and mix my own on the beach 40 feet from my room. The Sands can’t be beat for the roominess of the grounds and it beautiful beach. I love this place!
