酒店圖片是假的，這根本就不是一個酒店，我連夜離開了根本就沒敢住。連農莊都算不上。太可怕了，連照片都沒敢拍。這是我去過所有地方最可怕的酒店。 非常偏僻，門口坐着很多喝酒的人，房間很小，破舊潮濕，地板極臟，這些尚且可以忍受，關鍵是一進院子就沒有了任何信號，衹能用房間裏微弱的wifi 。薄薄的門板根本不隔音，房間的門鎖還鎖不緊，要用一把古老的鑰匙從裏面鎖一下才能從外邊打不開。在這樣偏僻的地方，感覺如果關了wifi ，我們就完全與外界失去聯繫，變成了待宰的羔羊。完全沒有任何安全可言。我們連夜離開了，根本沒有住，房主也拒絕提前離店或者退款。 建議不要訂，不是人住的地方。

Only had one night but a very enjoyable stay. Situated by the canalside on the outskirts of Kidlington, this is a beautiful old establishment is small and well maintained. We were warmly greeted and shown to a reasonably spacious room with a large on suite bathroom, which included a jacuzzi bath. We had a Sunday lunch, which we both enjoyed and found to be good value. Any criticism of our stay would be nit picking as any faults were minor. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. we enjoyed a few drinks at the bar with friendly locals. Breakfast served locally sauced produce which could not be faulted. Great value for money and highly recommended.

About the only vegetarian choice on the menu was the mushroom and pea risotto. At £14.95 this was outlandishly experience for what we were served. Expecting a wine based creamy rice what we received was an upturned rice pudding with some fried mushrooms and almost-grey garden peas. A fatty oil was drizzled around the plate and that was it. It was luke warm and served on nasty plates one of which was very badly chipped. No garnish, nothing. We had to ask for the promised parmesan shavings which was again a pretty meagre portion for four. £60 for 4 of us (about £5 ingredients and no finesse whatsoever) felt like a rip off. The beer was good and some of the other meals coming out of the kitchen looked good.

So I booked this purely as place to stay overnight as I was participating in a charity bike ride from nearby the following day. I had already emailed the owner/ manager to request if I could keep the bike inside my room or at least inside overnight for security . Upon arrival I was told straight away " no bikes in here ". How welcoming ...I explained my situation , he found the email, said he hadn't read it. Didn't change his mind and literally turned his back on me.....very unwelcoming, unfriendly and unhelpful....so I rebooted into the Premier Inn down the road....wish I had done it to begin with.....you get what you pay for.....avoid this place.

Great place ,booked as we were visiting Blenheim palace nearby. Friendly welcome , let us order food as kitchen was nearly ready to close when we arrived and then showed to our rooms whilst it was prepared. Nice , clean ,comfortable , warm and well appointed rooms equipped with everything you would need. The meal we had was nice , Well cooked and generous portions. The pub is a bit of a throw back but i mean that as massive compliment. Full of individual character ,very friendly people (both staff and the locals in the pub ) and really well kept beer . The bonus on top was there was a live singer who gently encouraged everyone to join in with him which mostly the whole pub did . Great night . Great atmosphere . Beautiful views of the canal where a new decking has just been built. Lovely breakfast, lots available, well cooked . We will definitely return,6 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

we have a narrow boat nearby and booked friends into the Highwayman to join us on a cruise the holiday was spoilt because the Highwayman turned out to be a disaster the room was dirty . Bedding had not been changed and was bloodstained there was no one in overall charge, and our friends did not like to tell us how awful the place was because they didnt want to embarass us. finally they had to admit it for various reasons and at great inconvenience we had to find somewhere else no apologies or any compensation

Amazing place and amazing food cooked by Harry will be returning Service was great and such a friendly place nothing was too much trouble, beautiful warm fire and allow dogs which was really nice perfect setting next to the canal really lovely pub thank you

Highwayman Hotel Kidlington Horrible experience. 897940665 Extremely disappointing stay despite being reassured by other reviews before booking - Signage has deteriorated, so no way to know you've arrived in the dark. Only boarding leads to industrial estate next-door. - No one to chk in, eventually found off duty staff member who kindly assisted. - Room 7 well... Grimy,dirty,mouldy with strong smell sewage. - Asked for manager next day and left note for him to call. Nick Devall has just called 2 days later exacerbated the situation by laughing at me while I tried to explain. No discussion/options offerred to resolve explained room not worth £108, which he agreed, when asked how much room is he said £100 ??? Still dont understand why he thinks would be worth £100. In our opinion we should have been paid that to stay there. Have photos happy to share. Please o not book and be disappointed.

The staff were very friendly room was clean tidy and comfortable, Very comfy bed and warm room, good TV and use of a phone and free Wi Fi my only criticism in no proper shower ok for overnight but not good for a few days stay, adequate parking and friendly bar downstairs, which did not affect us in anyway

Warm country pub next to canal; lovely setting. We stayed in November fires were on and so was the heating in our room so lovely and warm. We ate in the restaurant and the vegan winter greens pie with mash was delicious. Most importantly they are dog friendly and the dogs are allowed in accommodation and restaurant with lovely walks nearby. Accommodation clean; the warmth and dog friendliness means I would stay again 🐶❤️

A lovely traditional pub with log burner on the go. Lunch was delicious in a relaxed, warm & cosy atmosphere. Great hospitality, nice menu choice & nothing was too much trouble. Good choice of ales as well. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

We kast stayed here in September 2021 and were very happy with our stay (see Review for September 2021. So we decided to stay again when in the Oxford area. Told to book direct with the Hotel on its website because we would there get the best prices. We did not! The price quoted by the barely competent receptionist was the same as on *********** and we were told that there was no further reduction. Arriving at the hotel we were seurprised to kearn that the kiychen was closed (no reason given) and we would be informed when it opened -- we should have been told this at the time of booking. Our invoice described the room we were givin (Bedroom 4, The Green Room) as "Standard, Double, En Suite". It was (is) akin to a broom cupboard, about 8 feet (2.4 metres) by 10 feet (3.0 metres). The large (very comfortable) double bed occupies 30 per cent of the floor area and requires single traffic on two sides. The main(!) area is furnished with a single wooden chsir and a small dressing table/desk. The "wardrobe" is a wooden plank nailed 14 inches (35 centimetres) from the outside wall at the foot of the bed, with two shelves at the bottom and no closure. There is no storsge for clothes (e.g. a chest of drawers) and no stand on which to deposit any luggage. The en suite is a dingy box with a shower, wash basin and toilet: the toiletries comprise a liquid soap dispenser. There is no socket for electric razors and the mirrir is not sufficiently well lit to allow a proper shave. Comparing this Standaard room with the very spacious Room 3, The Silver Room, that we occupied on our first visit is a mockery and charging the same price (£75, no breakfast) is an insult. Needless tto say we shall not be going back!

What can I say about this place... well I'll start with Ashley and Will. Ashley went above and beyond expectations for our wedding here in July this year. He was helpful, accomodating and full of ideas to help create the perfect reception for our guests on our special day. We were given several options for food and went for a full on BBQ buffet with our additional requests which everyone commented on as exceptional! Ashley and Will helped every step of the way- from booking the rooms, storing our cake to creating a fabulous surprise in our room for our wedding night. They went above and beyond every step of the way! The Highwayman hotel is set in a beautiful location, the pub itself has so much character with a big garden, on the canalside and with plenty to do for the kids. Expect a warm welcome and amazing food. If you ever need somewhere to meet up with family or friends or even for a small event like ours- enquire and ask for Ashley or Will. You will receive a warm welcome, hastle free booking and the most relaxing experience. We honestly couldn't have asked for anything more for our perfect day 💓 thankyou team. PS- try the duck fries!!

Stayed at this beautiful pub Sunday amazing room lunch Monday was amazing, burger cooked amazingly. My partner had lamb kofta and buffalo 🐃 wings. 2 lovely ladies (think there names was lana and lauren)working in the restaurant and kitchen had a great chat about the location of the place and was very funny. We will definitely be back
