This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.
We did not receive the hotel that we booked through the app. Upon arrival in Kigali, we were informed that we were being relocated to another property of the same owner, without any prior notice or confirmation. This was completely unacceptable.
After landing at Kigali International Airport around 11:00 PM, we spent hours roaming around the city trying to locate the alternative property. Even our local driver had to repeatedly communicate with the hotel authorities using the contact number provided through the Trip.com app messenger, but the situation remained confusing and poorly managed.
We finally managed to check in at around 2:00 AM the next day, exhausted and frustrated. This caused unnecessary stress after a long international journey.
If a hotel cannot honor confirmed bookings, they should not list the property on booking platforms. Relocating guests at midnight without proper guidance or transportation support is extremely unprofessional.
I would not recommend this hotel, especially for travelers arriving late at night.
