基爾肯尼酒店(Hotel Kilkenny)

It was a lovely room very big. You must put the tag on the door handle if you want your room cleaned daily. I wasn’t aware of that information so my room wasn’t cleaned.

Perfect place to stay for families. Nice swimming pool for kids and excellent food.

This hotel had a large number of amenities within the hotel but wasn't really that close to anything downtown. It was a good 15-20 min walk to make it to more of the downtown food options and Kilkenny castle. There was also a gas station (if you wanted a quick breakfast) nearby but it was very difficult to walk to due to the fence running the property.

The staff were friendly and the room was fairly clean, but everything seemed pretty old fashioned. The bathroom particularly needs an update. Also, the TV in the room was not only small, but positioned in the corner with the curtain slightly obscuring the view. The tea facilities were also in a really awkward place, high up, right beside the door so we didn’t use them. There also wasn’t any plugs near the bed so had to charge our phones the opposite side of the rooms which was very annoying. Only stayed one night so didn’t try any of the spa or pool facilities.

Had a fantastic night in this hotel. Lovely staff and very helpful. The staff upgraded my room to a deluxe as it was my birthday and I hadn't even known only for my girlfriend had asked to upgrade. When I needed a phone charger they were quick to assistance with a USB type extension lead so I went out to hit the town fresh and recharged. I would happily come back to this hotel and I am currently planning to.

Lovely experience from check in to check out. Staff were extremely helpful and even managed to find us an adapter for our charger ! They also ensured we had a room with a bathtub as requested and there were lovely argon oil cosmetics in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good - great to have a selection of vegetarian options for me in addition to a full Irish for my husband! The leisure center was lovely and staff were very helpful (giving us towels, explaining access to facilities, providing plastic bags for wet swimsuits). It was a 10 min walk to the main section of the town and there were also bars near the hotel too. The tea & coffee caddy in the room was well stocked - lots of coffee biscuits too !!! We brought our own French press and ground coffee as that’s our preference over instant. Everything was wonderful.

We had a lovely stay and explored much of ireland. The hotel lobby is very well put together but the rooms even the cheaper rooms need a little upgrade for a 4 star hotel. But except that the hotel was clean and comfortable.

Excellent, helpful staff. Hotel is a decent walk from touristy areas so it takes a minute to get to restaurants/ bars/ sites, but still convenient enough.

Great location, walkable to ‘downtown’. Jamie at front desk was very welcoming, helpful and informative. Bar staff were amazing, food there was great also. Room was very spacious. Only negative was room was too hot and only bedding was a duvet which was too warm, we took duvet out of cover and just slept with the cover
