Vuma runs on solar geysers, and sometimes during cooler, cloudy spells we do face challenges with consistent hot water, though we’re looking at ways to improve this. 來自住宿之回應: Dear BarbaraD42, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Vuma Hills Tented Camp. I’m glad that you found our camp and tents very nice and that you saw a lot of wildlife. As a small camp, it is quite normal for some staff members to take part in several areas of guest experience, from waiting to guiding. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the food, as this is typically and area we receive good feedback on. Due to our remote location, our menus make use of ingredients available locally. On our family farm in the southern highlands we produce fruit, vegetables, meat, and dairy to help supply the camp. We recognise that with visitors from around the world, our menus can’t always cater to everyone's tastes. We will endeavour to increase our variety. As you visited in the rain season, the number of tsetse flies does increase in the parks, however not all the time and their presence is quite unpredictable. We are sorry you have a bad time with them. There are some good repellents as well as methods our guides practise to reduce their prevalence. It is unfortunate that the parks building of a new airstrip has led to the marking down of our camp. Unfortunately this is something we can do nothing about, and although it may impact guests time when travelling past, it does not impact the camp whatsoever.
