Went for spa and afternoon tea for my daughter in laws 30th. We had the best day had deluxe manicure and pedicure plus we had afternoon tea. So friendly and the afternoon tea was exceptional. Loved it so much I going again in 3 weeks. The manicure and pedicure were so relaxing. The surround are stunning chose to sit outside for tea as the weather was beautiful couldn’t fault the place

Ho soggiornato 3 notti in questa struttura e sono pienamente soddisfatto. La posizione è ottima. Ci si può muovere agilmente col bus o, meglio, con il servizio Uber, molto puntuale e affidabile. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è piuttosto buono. La mia camera, al primo piano, aveva un bagno molto ampio completo di vasca e una vetrata che si affacciava sulla strada. Il personale che mi ha accolto è stato assai cordiale e disponibile e davvero d'aiuto, visto che la mia valigia non era stata consegnata dalla compagnia aerea. La struttura, piccolina, familiare, è dotata di una SPA, di cui però non ho frutto. Raccomando certamente.

A good location for the town. The room was clean and useful to have access to a small fridge on the landing. The mattress in my room looked well worn with an old topper. After 2 nights I ended up with low back pain. The guest house is adequate but has a tired worn out feel. There is parking for 4 cars at the front and more road side parking across the road.

I treated my friend to an awesome day with a full-body massage and a mini facial, and I joined in on the pampering too! We had a blast in the hot tub while enjoying some chilled Prosecco. With the sun shining down, it really felt like we were on a mini getaway in Spain. The place had such beautiful and calming decor, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The treatments were absolutely fantastic—nothing was too much trouble for them! We felt so well taken care of and completely relaxed, with everything we needed at our fingertips. Mary and her team are just perfect! I wouldn’t dream of taking my friends anywhere else.

Upon arrival easy to find, just off the main road through the town, has a stone drive way with 4 spaces available outside for free parking, if these are full there is a large lay-by opposite, The first impression is this is quite a small property, but it does go back a long way when inside, the outside looks a little dated but in good condition, when inside the lobby is well decorated and very modern, There is a huge modern looking spa in what I imagine used to be the lounge with extensive extension work done on the bottom floor, We were met by “Laura” and every friendly bubbly personable young lady, who showed us to the room, the key was in the door ready to go, Walking into the room boom it was quite large with a huge super king bed and a single bed, nicely decorated and welcoming, - BED: very comfortable, good quality bedding and choice of firm or soft pillows - TV: smart tv connected to the WiFi, very slow but hey I wasn’t here for tv I was here for sleep and an event in the close by city - Bathroom: Clean and in good repair, bath tub has party lights around it so you can rave whilst having a soak, this amused my 6 year old greatly - The window in the bathroom had a broken lock so wouldn’t close, this didn’t bother us as it was hot so we had them open anyway, but if it was winter it could’ve been an issue - NOISE: so the only bad point we had was a very noisy neighbour being loud til late and up early again, nothing the B&B can do really as sound proofing an older building is near impossible - BREAKFAST - no breakfast Check out was easy as we had prepaid we just left the key in the door and left. Spa: they have a spa on site you can book into with a discount as staying guest, we were going to book but it was a “Mother and daughter” package and I was a “Father and daughter” So wasn’t sure if we could or whether males could book Treatments so didn’t want to pre book and pay for a treatment that wasn’t possible! All in all we will Happily return for the next event in Birmingham

My nails have chipped less than a week in. I wasn’t impressed that not professional nail equipment was used. The polishes can be shop bought by anyone so was shocked that it was £30 when you can get a professional service elsewhere for that price.

We booked our daughters 6th birthday here with 8 children in total. It was fabulous for l the kids and great value for money The kids thorough enjoyed it and had one suprise after another Would high recommend for and girly party Thank you for making my daughters birthday so special

Used the hotel for one night as travelling early from Birmingham airport. Booked the family room. Reasonable price, easy for airport, on site parking. Friendly and helpful owner. Perfectly reasonable and nice for a short stay. Walking distance to restaurants and pubs for food/drinks to suit different budgets.

We had our daughter’s 7th birthday party at Achill Spa this afternoon and it was just wonderful. From start to finish the team made everyone feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble. My daughter shared her party with another child from her class and Achill Spa made both the girls top priority, making sure all their friends were entertained and each of their personal needs were met ie, dietary requirements, any allergies and health conditions. These ladies are worth their weight in gold as I was able to sit back and relax, chat to other parents and just enjoy my daughter’s special afternoon. She had a smile from ear to ear all afternoon!!! Loved the cute relaxing eye masks and the choice of nail varnishes!! The children’s afternoon tea was so lovely and plenty of it!! Parents enjoyed the left overs as much as the children enjoyed the choice of delicious foods. Thank you to all the staff that made our girls party just perfect!!

First, the good - the massage was excellent Now the not so good- 1. The front of the ‘hotel’ looks tired, dead plants, wheely bins, paintwork needs attention, looked neglected 2. The hallway was untidy full of coats, the floor wasn’t too clean 3. The spa area was ok, nice and bright, the floor wasn’t clean, and smelled of cigarette smoke, toilets were nice 4. The treatment rooms are across the garden purpose built, the sun beds outside were filthy, the cushions soaking wet and mouldy? The room wasn’t nearly warm enough for October - the therapist did turn up the electric heater but it started to smell so turned it off - not very relaxing Such a shame as we had been looking forward to our afternoon but the place needs an overhaul and a good clean.

What a treasure! We needed a place close to where we were picking up our rental narrow boat and this place fit the bill. We were all very pleased with Laura's place. The spa is on the main floor and just a very few rooms upstairs. Laura is a great host, very cheerful and accommodating. Our flight got in early and she just worked with it. Breakfast the next morning was so special. We paid an extra 12 pounds each and her husband came in and we got a full fantastic English breakfast cooked for us, along with lots of humour and fun. He even brought out blood pudding if anyone wanted to try (only one took the challenge). The couple are personality plus and make your stay fun.

This was a very last min booking as decided we wanted to be nearer to the the airport to get a few more hours sleep. We booked the guest house literally 7pm left an hour later and were flying the next morn v early. All I can say is wow what a bargain ! Lovely big room the bed was flipping amazing and comfy we we have stayed in very expensive hotels where the bed wasn’t this comfy . Communication from Mary was unreal she was so helpful in fact we even weirdly bumped into her at a local pub ! 😆 def recommend and we will 100% use again when flying from Bham .

Amazing! I had a facial today at Achill spa and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. On arrival they sat us in their beautiful garden seating area with complimentary drinks which made us feel so welcome from the start. The facial was perfect and so relaxing. After the treatment, the staff offered to find me a phone charger as my phone had died and they made sure I had enough battery to get home. Such an amazing visit, I will definitely be back.
