Our return stay after 15 years did not disappoint. Still the friendly, dedicated and professional staff and owners we got used to the previous time, making our stay really great

Location is nice enough. The owners are very friendly and outgoing. Suppose most of the rooms upstairs has a nice ambience and seems bright, but the rooms in the basement is really not that nice. They are old and worn down, dark and with barred windows. Has a mild scent of mold. So if one gets to stay in the rooms upstairs i suppose its a good place to stay when visiting Knysna. Breakfast wasnt my favorite, Choice of full English, omelette or French toast - had French toast, felt more like a savory eggy dish than sweet French toast.

We used Knysna Manor House as a base for our stay on the Garden Route. It's an atmospheric 100 year old house, with attentive hosts that made our stay very comfortable. The House is within walking distance to the town centre and the Waterfront.

Firstly I would like to thank Richard and Mandy, and all their staff for a wonderful stay over a couple of nights during my South African adventure. Rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the veranda watching the world go past below. Loved the greeting flags at the reception it was like the United Nations that were staying. I would fully recommend Knysna Manor House. Thanks very much for making me feel very welcome.

Richard, Mandy and their team at Knysna Manor were brilliant hosts for our group of 11 to stopover for 2 nights in Knysna. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were great. Facilities were spot on for what we needed. More than anything nothing was too troublesome - Richard and Mandy helped as with restaurant bookings, were flexible with our arrangements, and accommodated some last minute additions to our tour. Highly recommended. Will definitely stay there next time we golf in Knysna.

What a beautiful location. I loved the homely atmosphere. Reminded me so much of childhood visits to grandparents. Very nostalgic for me to be surround by furniture and decor that was so familiar. Really a beautiful place.

Friendly, helpful service! We enjoyed our stay and will return to explore Knysna again! Breakfast was great giving sufficient choices. As we only stayed overnight, we did not get to experience everything on offer.

One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful picnic we had in the enchanting 'Belvedere' area, nestled next to the picturesque Anglican chapel adorned with stunning stained glass windows. To our sheer delight, we found ourselves surrounded by tame guinea fowl, partridge, and elegant long-necked cranes. It was a moment of pure bliss, feeling so connected to nature in such a serene setting. Our hosts were very friendly and extremely helpful in helping preparing for the Knysna Marathon. They prepared oatmeal for breakfast and fresh fruit for our race. The fire place created a very cozy atmosphere during the cold and wet weather conditions. We can highly recommend the Knysna Manor House!
