Lage ist Traumhaft, auch schon mehrfach beschrieben. Was aber das Kanonkop zu einer herzens Sache macht, ist das sehr leidenschaftliche, engagierte Host-Paar Adele & Mark und ihr Personal. Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an Willkommen und wie zu Hause gefühlt. Mit viel Herzblut wird die Gastfreundschaft noch gelebt, es wird versucht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Sauber und gepflegt, mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Jeden morgen ein vollumfängliches Frühstück mit lokalen Produkten und auf verlangen warme Frühstückspeisen, kunstvoll von Adele angerichtet. Sie haben für alle stets treffsichere Empfehlungen für Ausflugsziele oder Essenslokale. Btw das ist keine KI generierte Bewertung und wir haben den vollen Preis bezahlt. Wir wünschen allen Kanonkop Besuchern, die gleichen schönen Momente und Erfahrungen, welche wir erleben durften. Geheimtipp, das „Paradies“ Zimmer ist das schönste. Wir gehen sicher wieder dahin.

Ein wunderbarer Tipp für eine Übernachtung in Knysna. Nicht ganz im Ort gelegen (also Uber oder eigenen PKW nutzen) aber mit toller Aussicht über der Lagune. Ganz netter Empfang und Service. Zimmer bzw. Suite ganz toll. Dazu ein schöner Pool. Gerne wieder

Schöne und saubere Zimmer. Liebevolles Frühstück. Das 8 Gänge Menü muss man einfach gemacht haben, auch wenn es nicht inklusive ist, es lohnt sich. Auch für Golfspieler sehr zu empfehlen, da Startzeiten im Guest House gebucht werden können. Sehr hilfsbereit und familiäre Atmosphäre.

Wir hatten das Glück einige Tage in dieser sehr schönen Unterkunft einzukehren. Knysna war der Ausgnagspunkt für zahlreiche Ausflüge in der Umgebung. Hier vorab ein großes DANKE an Mark und seine Frau, die bereits beim Frühstück auf jeden Wunsch eingegangen sind und täglich tolle Tipps zu Ausflügen gegeben haben. Der Ausblick auf den Knysna TRivber ist gigantisch und die großzügige Lounge lädt neben den großzügigen Zimmern zum Verweilen ein. Da wir im Winter in Südafrika waren, war es für den Pool nich zu kalt. Das holen wir beim nächsten Mal nach. Wir haben uns als Familie sehr willkommen gefühlt. Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Selten so ein tolles Guesthouse gehabt Traumhafte Unterkunft mit schönem Zimmer. Wir hatten den Forrestraum (liebevolle Einrichtung, tolle Terrasse mit traumhaften Blick) Auch das Zimmer unserer Freunde und der Kinder war schön. Super Poolbereich und toller Außenbereich zum Frühstücken Super netter Service. Alle Wünsche wurden von den Augen abgelesen und auch die Sonderwünsche unserer Tochter entspannt erfüllt ;-) 100%-Empfehlung!

Schönes, etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Guesthouse mit sehr netten Gastgeber Ehepaar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen das Kanonkoophouse in Knysna gerne weiter. Tip: Sundowner Trip auf dem Katamaran war ein tolles Erlebnis

Struttura davvero stupenda! Camera enorme con una vista sulla baia incredibile! Camera munita anche di giardino privato e con bosco abitato dalle scimmie davanti alla sala! Colazione ottima ed abbondante, il free bar 24/24 e la sala lettura sono una ulteriore coccola per l’ospite. Dimenticavo la piscina riscaldata. Il personale gentile e cortese, per non parlare della host che ci ha aiutato ad organizzare al meglio la nostra permanenza. SUPER!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kanonkop House. The team were incredibly attentive and friendly during our stay, with special shout-out to Sami who even went the extra mile of bringing my jacket to our next hotel which I'd forgotten. So kind! The views from our room were magnificent and the hotel itself is beautiful. The forest room is magnificent and romantic. Thank you for a wonderful stay, and the only downside was that one night wasn't long enough!

We where four friends that stayed 3 nights at Kanonkop House in the beginning of december. Kanonkop was our last stop of our 16 days holiday in South Africa. We where greeted at the door by the owner Mark. He takes care of this lovely place together with his sister Samantha. We felt welcome immediately, and he took us on a tour around the house and showed us all the lovely rooms. They had great view of the Lagune and where surrounded by an exceptionally well kept garden. All the guests have their own lovely rooms, but we had access to the other main rooms as well. That was the library-music room, the large sitting room, and a smaller room with a fire place. There where even two kitchens, and all the drinks where on the house. We where offered a glass of wine, and sat down outside in the garden by the swimming pool. Mark informed us about things to do, and good restaurants to visit. He is a really generous man, only thinking of the guests wellbeing! In his world there is no problems, only solutions. No wonder when he does everything with love. We will think of this peaceful lovely 3 days we spent at Kanonkop when we are back in the cold winter in Norway. Thank you Mark for taking so good care of everyone, and give our greetings to your lovely staff.

Mark and Adèle run Kanonkop House with a local team, they call their family. From the moment of pick up at George airport Mark inundates you with suggestions, tips and plans for your stay. There is not an hour going by without surprise. Kanonkop House rooms are close to perfect. We stayed at the Diamond Suite overlooking the lagoon enjoying the sunrise and the sunset. Every breakfast is a new adventure. The Boma nights are a true treat on their own with a braai and followed by a six course meal. If somebody wants to find out what paradise would look like, we suggest to visit Kanonkop House. This quite sure might not be our last stay at this magnificent place.

Kanonkop House is amazing; the service and hospitality we received was outstanding. Everyone makes you feel 100% at home, 100% of the time. This was the first location we stayed at on our first visit to South Africa and they set the standard very high indeed.

Exceptional place with fantastic hospitality! Mark, Adele, Rocco and the rest of the Kanankop team were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. This place a real crown the jewel! We did not want to leave the fantastic views and great breakfasts. The pool was heated which was amazing. Such a relaxing few days we spent at this exquisite place. We’ll definitely be back here and would highly recommend this place!

Wow, wow wow! Please don’t stay in knysna proper stay here. It’s so easy and affordable to get into town or a quick drive. This property is beyond amazing. Mark and every single person from his team went over and above anything I could have ever expected. They have a lovely bar area with a breathtaking view where you can mingle with other guests or take a glass back to a large comfortable room with lots of space. There is no detailed missed and the food is excellent. We will be back.

Fantastic guest house with divine views over Knysna lagoon to the Heads. The rooms are beautiful and the staff are very friendly and efficient. Mark and Adele the owners add a huge amount to the experience and can give great advice on the local area and beyond. We have been many times and can’t wait to go back. This is the best guest house to stay in Knysna by miles. The breakfasts are delicious and made to order.
