Cleanest accomodation so far in India! Good shower pressure, good bed, did I mention clean? Water available to fill your water bottle… Was lucky to have the room entirely for myself for one night as no other guest showed, and when someone did it was still comfortable even if he was on the top bed as mine. Perhaps a bit excesively cold when AC and fan are running, but hey that’s Asia’s usual when staying at a hostel. You come to Asia to escape the cold and end up sleeping with a blanket. And getting horrible sore throats, and dryness from excesive AC. Staff was correct and helpful. Location was unbeatable! Will stay again in December.

This hotel is in a great location and not noisy. The staff could not have been more helpful right from making booking to departure and everything in between. There were 10 of us and they went out of their way to make things easy for us. We arrived from an overnight flight and and although they couldn't have 5 rooms ready for us early they had 3 and people had somewhere to go and get washed and rest. We needed early breakfast one morning and they opened the kitchen early for us. The rooms were clean and having a reasonably priced restaurant in the building was extremely handy. The food was also very good!

The Good: Good room service, polite staff, and great ambience are the main draws for this property. The Bad: The property struggles to overcome the negative impression left by the government heritage properties due to maintenance issues. Lake View Cottage: Initially given a room with relatively spacious single beds, we encountered a problem when the bathroom flooded into the room. Despite calling reception multiple times, the promised maintenance team never arrived. After contacting the booking agency, we were eventually provided with another room but we had to wait 2-3 hours. Unfortunately, the alternative room also had issues, including small single beds. The Ugly: At night, upon opening the door, a group of 5-6 people smoked right in front of our room and hosted a party with 10-15 people in a cramped room next to us. I don't know how the management allows so many guests in a small room with no policies. Alarms were unnecessary as water droplets from the AC served as a constant source of noise and nourished the pillow. The unpleasant smell emanating from the AC added its part as well. Sustainable Tourism: The lack of sustainable practices led to unnecessary waste, such as excessive use of plastic and paper wrappers for amenities like tea bags, glass water bottle caps, and dental kits. Despite enjoying the historical ambience, the overall experience leaves me undecided about staying here again. It may be preferable to stay elsewhere and visit the property instead.

It was a decent stay at a decent price in a prime location. Rooms were clean and spacious too. Overall a good and smooth experience
The check-in experience with one of the staff members called as Mr.Jinu was extremely unpleasant. He asked whether I wanted to do advance or full payment to which I replied that I would prefer doing that during checkout as I would order food and other services and would pay combined for that. And the same is followed by many other hotels including 4 star hotels in the city. Even though this was a corporate booking done via Yatra for business, the staff person didn't know that and was asking for amount higher than what was mentioned on the tax invoice hotel voucher. He had to call another staff to recheck the amount and finally admitted that the amount on the hotel voucher with me was correct. After this the staff person suddenly changed and insisted that I pay the full payment only. The treatment I received was as if I would run away without payment. He kept on repeating - ”it's hotel rule”. Upon asking where the hotel rule is written or documented in your hotel policy, he had no answer and suddenly insisted that I cancel the booking. I was appalled at this kind of behaviour and treatment by a staff who works in a hospitality industry who treats customer in a hostile manner. Please do your research about the rules here. If anything is declared as a ”rule” or a policy, do ask for proof of its document. When I insisted on calling the manager, the manager said I could do payment in parts which was fine. But staff people treating people like theives is NOT OKAY. If hotel people are reading this review, kindly check the recording of the camera at your reception. Treating people like thieves when you are in hospitality industry is not at all okay. Hotel people should really pay attention to the reviews on Google page regarding treatment by staff. The lowest rating for this hotel have been mostly given for staff behaviour. They should train the staff to be more professional.
訪訪客I’m a British/ Australian female traveller who visited India for the first time with my Partner. Kerala is the first place we visited and I was incredibly impressed with how clean, safe and comfy the homestay was. It is in the perfect location, very short walking distance to Princess street. The hosts are incredibly friendly, they helped me with my washing and also made us two delicious homemade breakfasts. The air conditioning worked really well and there is also a fan. Will recommend this place to any traveller and I would definitely stay here again.
訪訪客We had a comfortable stay here with very welcoming hosts. The hotel is clean and very convenient for the sights of Cochin. Great value for money. When we arrived it was quite late and pouring with rain, so it was lovely to be greeted with smiling faces.
SshortsortieThe hospitality industry is so profit driven it has lost its perspective on its true purpose. It is rare to find a great hotel but funnily enough it is rare to find a very bad hotel or a bad hotel experience. Neemrana Tower House in Cochin, was a bad experience for my family. I booked a family room (1 king bed+1 queen bed) with an extra bed for 2 days and nights, for 4 persons from May 13th to 15th, 3+weeks in advance after clarifying details on their websites, other platforms and by calling the Manager operations, Ms. Vinita Vijayan herself. I was told that yes it was available and that booking any later would not guarantee the same facility. The booking was done online in full payment for 3 persons with extra bed charges to be paid at the hotel on arrival. I reconfirmed our booking a few days before our travel as well. At no point were we aware or told that the premises were being renovated. Come 13th of May, when we reached the hotel just before 4pm after traveling from Pollachi, we noticed that the hotel was under repair with no staff in sight to immediately receive or guide us. I walked into what seemed like the reception, saw no one and then looked further in, to see a lady who was the manager working on her system in her office. I introduced myself and had to ask her for guidance and help for parking and baggage. After 15 minutes of that, we checked in. I even paid up the additional extra bed charges for 2 days. As we were moving to our room, we saw that all the rooms were being renovated. Our's seemed to be the only one ready. On asking about the pool the manager said that it was being renovated too. Basically apart from meals in our room or the dining area, the rest of the hotel was unusable. On confronting the manager, she said she had informed us and it was updated on the website. Both NOT TRUE, which I double checked. She offered no compensation or even explanation. That's when we got upset and I asked for some reparation of what was an obvious con. She was unapologetic and almost indifferent! Long story short, we took care of our own comfort. I insisted on a refund, which was promised with no timeline. Refund of the extra bed was offered too of the day we were staying and the next, but the manager refused to commit in a mail. The next morning despite assurance of a formal mail about the refund as payment was not immediately possible, there was nothing. After insisting, a short mail was sent promising 1 day's refund. We checked out at 10.30am. After about 2 days, 1 day's refund was done without the additional bed charges including the day we did not stay( we were charged for a bed we did not use) Throughout the stay there were no efforts to make us comfortable. The breakfast was lack lustre and just average with runny scrambled eggs. Definitely not going to trust the Neemrana brand again. Beautiful property, horrible management.
訪訪客Hotel is more suited for business travellers as nearby corporates offices suggests. As a solo leisure traveller the hotel was not for me, in terms of sightseeing etc with everything futher away. Breakfast and dinner selection was somewhat limited but nice food. Prakash the waiter served with care and efficiency. At the Spa on one of the nights there was no one there at the reception to take queries as the one and only therapist was engaged with an appointment! So what does one do wait for hours to be atteneded to? As a sign suggested i left a message for a call back for an appointment, but got none.
訪訪客The rooms are really comfortable with elegant view of backwaters and with a private balcony! You have everything inside the room.. a dining table, cozy couches, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a washing machine, an electrical induction cooker, cutlery crockery etc.. I stayed in an apartment with living room, kitchen, two TVs, Two air conditioners and a lot of space.. wonderful stay just few Kms away from the city.. highly recommend this place..
訪訪客Great place to stay. Rooms : 4/5. Good rooms with all basic amenities what you can expect for a short stay. Good bed, clean linen, clean towels and bathroom. You may not get very hot water; Only lukewarm water because of solar heating system. Location - 4/5. Easy access to Metro, Cab and Auto. Breakfast - We didn't include that in our package. Plenty of options available nearby. Staff : 5/5. Always attentive and supportive. We will surely comeback.
Very nice room giving comfortable stay. I got the room facing metro station side so enjoyed the view. Awesome tasty food variety of south and north with calm atmosphere at restaurant. Polite and helpful staff service. Overall great stay..
訪訪客Visited on 31 Dec, Mr. Ravi is helpful and guided the plans to visit in fort kochi. Best location to stay in fort kochi. Rooms are comfortable but services were not good, no hot water, basic items are provided like water bottle, mugs, dustbin etc by asking specifically and it seems due to vacation season.
