罌粟花悦居酒店(Poppys Pleasant Stay)

Hôtel très bruyant, musique diffusée non stop dans les parties communes avec hauts- parleurs dans le couloir des chambres, nous étions à l’étage de la salle de jeux, là aussi, tres bruyante. Réveillées en fanfare le di***che à 7h du matin par la musique!! Salle à ***ger très sale, petit-déjeuner vraiment limite, même pas un sachet de thé pour nous qui ne buvons pas le thé indien au lait. Nous sommes restées deux nuits, nous avons dû appeler en milieu d’après-midi pour que la chambre soit faite, sinon personne ne serait venu.

Location: It is about 400 meters from Bus Stand. One has to travel on a narrow road through a Fish Market, bunch of beef and goat meat shops and a broiler to reach the hotel. Parking: Property parking is three floors down and need to climb steep road to reach the lobby. You can get parking space on the road opposite to the hotel, if you are lucky. But the space is filled with some bigger sized stones, and one has to be careful to remove the stones before parking. The road surrounding the hotel looks untidy. Lobby: Lobby is good and spacious. It has a table tennis table, foosball table and Air hockey table. Foosball table is missing the balls and some of the handles are fixed wrongly, so it is in an unplayable condition. Air hockey table is in working condition, but it is very old and playing on it is hard. Room: It is medium sized room. We liked the bed and it was comfortable. The sofa was awful as it is bench size, old and not comfortable to sit. No TV remote in our room and the cable remote was broken in the middle. Bathroom is small and smelly. Some old towel was used as foot mat. It was very dirty. Bath towels were very old. Wi-Fi: Wi-Fi in room is bad and not working. It connects, disconnects, and does not load. Service: Reception personnel are indifferent, lack basic knowledge of hospitality industry and etiquettes. Restaurant service is not good. At the restaurant, it took 40 minutes for us to receive just one curry and roti. Only two family were at the restaurant at that time including us. The other family asked for the ***ager since they arrived even before us, but did not get their order serviced. Another night, we ordered just milk from room. Promised time was 20 minutes. It took 1 hour and 5 minutes. We also had to remind after 40 minutes. While we are frustrated with standard of service, there are few who tried to make the customer feel comfortable, like Mr. Gilson at breakfast, and Security Staff. Breakfast: Average Spread - Idli, Small Uthappam, Pongal vada, bread and puttu as sweet, etc. But most of the time, we kept waiting for one item or another including plates and coffee cups. No proper filling of items. Plates are very small and no bowls. Restaurant has bigger plates and bowls but we were told that those are for dinner. Small eating size spoon was kept for taking Coconut chutney. We saw North Indians arguing as they are used to eat dipping items in sambar and Chutney in the bowl rather than pouring in the plate. It looked surprising to me how a breakfast session was run with so ***y issues and inconvenience to the customers. Hygiene was lacking, flies around. GST: We were charged a GST of 18% for eating in the restaurant. ***ager said that their published room rates are above Rs. 7500, so they can charge 18% GST for eating in restaurant. But we paid room rate of Rs 4500 (inclusive of 12% GST) Accessibility: Overall, the property is not wheelchair accessible as claimed by some portals like MakeMyTrip because of

Don’t go by images of the hotel. The service is very very poor. Be it the ***ager or the regular staff they do not act on the complains. 1. No water served in the rooms 2. Foul smell in the toilets 3. Small animal poops in the buffet area 4. None of the activities are usable. Either under repair or it’s not functional 5. Parking is downhill and no valet either to park the vehicle. 6. Couldn’t get over the smell as it was n ext to fishery market and beef stall. 7. Lacking basic communication skills and service industry etiquette’s . 8. Service is horrible. Even to deliver a bottle of water takes 45 min. (No exaggeration). Except for the security personal Mr Satish and security officer our stay was ruined by pathetic service offered by “POPPIES PLEASANT STAY”.

It was excellent room . Very good service and customisation. Very nice food service, activity center and you created a very nice ambience. We will visit next time definitely . It is good hotel .must try it.thank you poppys for this good service and giving good experience.

Visited Kodaikanal for a family trip and stayed in Poppy’s pleasant stay. Our stay was extremely good. As the hotel is very near by to the bus stand we were able to access all shops and visit all places with less fuss. The room were super clean and the staffs here are extremely co-operative. They provided us everything we asked for. They provided us the complimentary breakfast and it was really good with wide varieties. This trip was planned especially to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I wanted to give her surprise at mid night and in short notice the staffs made all arrangements. We are very thankful for them, especially Palani, Nanthukumar, Bhagavathi & Subhash. I will highly recommend this place to stay.

Everything was excellent Except food it was not tasty and please try to keep veg separately And staff was very good they are very cooperative thank you for providing good room and atleast try to keep free coffee tea

We were staying 2days in standard room the room was very neat and clean they have given complimentary breakfast also the food was so yummy The hotel staffs are planned a surprise for our son 3rd birthday they are give the complimentary birthday cake and made a cake cutting arrangements. Excellent experience. All the service were very good. Up to my expectations. The staff were were well ***nered, courteous, well behaved and punctual. Shall visit once again. Keep it up . God bless you all..
