Expectation/Reality: The hotel is past its prime, but the room itself was perfectly adequate. The power outlets are finicky and the wifi is better is some places than others.
Security: very secure, there's a key and a safe in the room, and 24/7 security at the front door.
Hygiene: Great, the furniture is old, but the cleaning ladies are diligent and do a great job and come consistently.
Hospitality: Very good, the check in process and overall experience with staff was terrific.
Social Atmosphere: None really, perhaps by the pool.
Overall: Its expensive for Thailand because its Koh Samui, but the location is really good. BEWARE you can hear airplanes fly over head, but with earplugs its a non issue. The cafe on the ground floor is really good to do some work and with good wifi.

This room was dirty with bed bugs and lots of ants in the bathroom and main bedroom. The whole resort was run down with lots need repairing

Chaweng Park Place Pros: - Good Location - Pool is surrounded by nature - Reasonably clean (bedding, bathroom etc is clean), bit of dust around the woodwork. Negatives: - WiFi hit and miss (not the worst) - Plug sockets by the bed are limited (found one just as we checked out which you need to move the bed forward to access) - Nightlight by the bed for decoration (no reachable socket for the plug to go into) Overall great stay for what you pay for. This would be a good 2 star hotel.

I was unsure at first. I read all the reviews and it sounded good. My main attraction was the pool picture on their advert. Also the thought of it near the beach (Not quite but near enough once I found my bearing about 10/15 mins walk) When I arrived I though this hotel looked basic. I was lucky enough to be given one of the rooms on the second floor on the right as it’s away from the main road and also with a view of the greenery. The room is dated but you get for what you paid for. Let’s face it, it’s not 5 star rather 3 star rating. For me it’s value for money. Great location. Quiet from where my room is located in the building. Friendly enough staff. I didn’t use the pool even though it was what I attracted to in the first place. What’s key is location and budget friendly.
