Located right in the heart of the city and having easy to access parking was a huge plus for us. The personnel is extremely nice, helpful and easy to talk to. The bed was really comfortable and nice to sleep in. Good breakfast options. The climate control is operated from the front desk only, so you can not adjust your temperature, fan speed or turn it off. In our case the temperature was fine but it was super annoying that the fan was quite loud and we could not shut it off during the night, thus disturbing the sleep. The bathroom fan was not working and because of the humidity the whole room had a “musky” smell.

We travelled for a family wedding and were so impressed with everything. Its right in the center of Kosice, such a beautiful and tranquil town and, close to fantastic eateries, shops and pubs and so easy to connect with other family and friends also staying in town. The hotels laid back ambience was great. The beds were so comfy, fantastic shower and bath, good breakfast choices and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location. Right on the Main Street. The lady on reception was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was Ok and what I expected for a Breakfast in Slovakia I would have given this a good for the above. However, the rooms are old and really need modernisation. The heating was on too high and I couldn't find a way of lowering it. The bed was small (single) and I could not get the shower to work (the connections to the wall were hanging off) The bedroom needs a facelift. They are old.

Hotel is great location right on Main Street of Košice. Everything is walking distance from here! The room was nice but a little dated in a lot of ways. Fixtures and fittings weren’t great in bedroom. Bathroom looked new and stylish however. Very disappointed with the body/hair soap provided however. This looked the part but felt extremely cheap/low quality and stripped my hair completely of any natural oils, and left my skin red and sore. Also, there was literally nowhere to put anything on the side of the sink. I had to put all toiletries on the floor while I was here, which was annoying. Most luxurious hotels you don’t need to put your toiletries on the floor around you. The bed and duvet etc were very comfortable and felt of real quality, so can’t fault how well I slept. Breakfast was nice and good selection of foods available. The lights on landings on my way up to my room stayed on for about 5 seconds then turned off automatically, which was very annoying when trying to take luggage up or just trying to walk up the stairs in complete darkness. All in all great location, and with some more attention to detail over certain things, this would have been a really nice stay. Thanks to all staff also who were very polite and helpful.

My partner and I recently stayed at The Ambassador Hotel in Košice, and our experience left us with mixed feelings. Despite its promising location within Košice, the hotel overall did not live up to our expectations, especially considering the price point. Upon arrival, the check-in process was unexpectedly lengthy. With only one receptionist available who was preoccupied with a demanding couple ahead of us, we were left waiting for an uncomfortably long time. The procedure itself felt unnecessarily tedious, requiring details that seemed excessive for a simple check-in. The hotel's condition significantly detracted from our stay. It appeared tired and in need of maintenance, with visible wear and tear throughout the premises. Our room was particularly disappointing; from a malfunctioning bathroom door handle, water damage around the sink, to a low-pressure shower and a lack of proper heating. The absence of a blackout blind, a clunky TV menu, and a carpet that was both faded and worn further contributed to our room's lackluster ambiance. Additionally, the tea and coffee amenities were unsatisfactorily tucked away in the wardrobe, and the presence of a cheap plastic trolley in the bathroom was not what we expected from a hotel that claims luxury status. Breakfast was another letdown, with a noticeable lack of labeling on the food items, including allergen information. The options were limited for those who do not eat pork or are allergic to eggs. Although soya milk was available upon request, it was not readily accessible. While the hotel's location in Košice is undeniably convenient, other aspects such as the wellness spa left much to be desired. The spa required a private booking at an additional cost of 25 euros and a two-hour preparation time, which seemed unreasonable for what is marketed as a luxury amenity. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, the overall state of the hotel, combined with the disappointing breakfast and the restrictive access to the wellness spa, means we are unlikely to return. For a hotel that positions itself within the luxury market, The Ambassador Hotel falls short in delivering the quality and service one would expect for the price.
