整體來說，這是一次糟糕的體驗。首先，網站上顯示的泳池景觀房看起來很大，但實際上房間非常非常小，幾乎沒有任何空間，也沒有任何隱私。除了雙人床之外，幾乎沒有其他空間。房間裡沒有冰箱，淋浴也常出問題。食物難以下嚥，早餐區非常小，我們入住期間自助餐只有四種選擇。唯一值得稱讚的是員工非常樂於助人且彬彬有禮。飯店環境不錯，綠化面積很大。另外，晚餐需要在晚上7:30前預訂，最晚可以送到晚上10點。

Staying at this rescort was a wonderful experience, especially for someone who enjoys a close connection with nature. The peaceful pond on-site offered a relaxing fishing spot that made the mornings truly special. The grilled fish was outstanding—freshly prepared and bursting with flavor, it quickly became the highlight of our meals. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with a warm smile. The entire place has a calm, welcoming vibe that instantly puts you at ease. It’s the perfect destination for unwinding, enjoying good food, and being surrounded by nature.

This place is a dream come true. I have always wondered what a villa in Bali would look like, and when I entered the doors of Les Candles, I was left in aw. The layout, deisgn and daily practices of this resort is geared for nature-lovers and eco-friendly tourists. The smallest details reflect their commitment to their environment and these speak louder than an any ad ever could. The staff were exceptional. They rose to greet me as I entered the office and offered me welcome drinks. Then, I saw them do the same for their guests who arrived after. One morning, the receptionsit held the baby of a guest, so that mama could enjoy her breakfast. These are the small acts of kindess and compassion that show how much they care about the comfort of their customers. The young *** to taught me how how to fish for tilapia (although he didn't know himself how to do so :)) was hilarious. I absolutely loved spending time with him. The food was also delcious and the head of kitchen ensured we were well-fed nutrious meals. Just 1 km drive away, there are all kinds of stores and services, and the same main road takes you to other wonders such as Wayanad. I highly recommend this resort, for its proximity to busy Calicut (about 30 minutes drive) and its interlace with pure, fresh, unspoiled nature. I will defintely be returning soon.

Boutique hotel in the hills beyond Calicut. We were lucky to have this hotel, garden and pool almost to ourselves. We splashed out on the Sunset villa at the top and the views were spectacular. The garden terraced on a steep rise is beautiful and well maintained. The pool is small but surrounded by tropical leaves. Although the menu was a bit of a disappointment and I wondered if some things were microwaved, we did have some very tasty dishes, the pineapple chat and Hawaiian salad were delicious as was the chicken biriyani, the western menu less so. I loved the cats particularly the 3 Persians. My only complaints were, it is in a very special natural environment and the plastic water bottles felt out of place and unnecessary, also the restaurant had music on continually with a very heavy bass that could be heard by the pool, but the charming staff did turn it off when we used the restaurant. Management was attentive and helpful in organising a taxi to the airport. Definitely recommended.

We stayed at Le Candles for one night, booking three cottages directly. While the resort has potential due to its picturesque location and natural surroundings, our overall experience was far from satisfactory. The resort is a small property with about 8-10 cottages of varying sizes, built on a steep hillside. The greenery and natural ambiance give it a serene feel, and it is easily accessible from the main roads, being not too far from Kozhikode town. It has the makings of a cozy getaway, particularly for couples or small families who appreciate being close to nature. The steep steps to access the cottages from the reception and restaurant make it unsuitable for elderly guests or those with mobility challenges. The cottages were not well maintained. One of our cottages had an Amazonian-style washroom that was leaking, and we encountered moths and even snails inside. Rainwater entered the bedroom due to a leakage in the porch area, making the stay uncomfortable and troublesome. We had an unsettling experience when a snake crossed our path near the cottages and disappeared into the nearby bamboo bushes. While the staff made efforts to address it, it highlighted the lack of effective pest and wildlife control. The small pool at the top of the hill is inadequate for more than 5-6 people at a time, and the overall upkeep of the area left much to be desired. The breakfast provided was average at best and did not match the quality of similar resorts in the region. Since we discovered that their kitchen is located elsewhere, we refrained from ordering additional food. Despite the natural beauty of the property, the lack of proper maintenance and professional management made our stay disappointing. Le Candles has significant potential to become a sought-after destination, but it requires a major overhaul in terms of upkeep, service quality, and safety standards to meet expectations.

We had the best experience there. The food was awesome and the toilet facilities were top notch. Had a nice ambience overall and the stay was lovely. Total privacy and the service was quick and perfect. The stay was worth every penny. Must stay resort in Kozhikode
