紅磚公寓酒店(Red Brick Apartments)

Loved the place. Right next to the central train station, which also had a huge mall and supermarkets near by. Close to old town. The apartment was spacious with a kitchen, including a microwave, stove for cooking, utensils, plates and fridge. The room was slightly warm (perhaps because we did not know hot to operate the AC) but it was alright. The bedroom was facing a road and could get a little noisy at night when people walked past/ loud cars went through, but it didn't wake me up or anything. There was also ample space in the closet. The staff there were also very helpful and nice during our interaction. Would recommend.

Wouldn’t recommend this place- honestly believe the photos shown of this place must be of somewhere completely different as this hotel seemed somewhat very dated, old fashioned and very basic- more so something I could only describe as a hostel. The beds were uncomfortable, pillows were very odd and barely fluffed. Suffered severely in terms of sleeping as the hotel is very noisy, a clock chimes every single hour from 5am along with some sort of national anthem or musical inbetween that and hundreds of birds squaking on very loudly. Also very noisy from the amount of cars, busses motorbikes and clip clipping from horses 24/7, also the windows were single glazed and barely closed properly (possibly broken) therefore the noise was even louder so we had broken sleep for 4 days and we’re up 5am every morning. So many flights of stairs- and after having walking thousands of steps every single day this is not what you need- although there is a lift I wouldn’t trust it- very dodgy. The bathroom had an awful smell coming from it. Within the 4 days we were there our room was never cleaned. Hotel absolutely REEKS of Tikka masala from the Indians next door, this smell is so strong and very overpowering. Our bedding and clothes were stinking of it. However staff were very kind, and if you just want somewhere cheap to literally sleep if you don’t mind living off potentially 5 hours sleep a night and stinking of curry whilst on your travels - then this is your place :-)

Great location almost next to the main train station and also a very short walk to the main market square. We stayed in the superior apartment and it was bigger than the the flat we live in! Kitchen well equipped including fridge, microwave, hob and and dishwasher. They also have wadhing up liquid and sponge and dishwasher tablet available for you. Room nice and warm and the bed was comfortable. Room was clean but could do with a slight update ( for example cracked tile in bathroom) but it does not take away from how great this place is. Definitely worth the money and we would come back again. Fab!

Arrived late for last minute stay with a friend and her daughter. Check in was easy but there was no sheets for the extra sofa bed or pillowcase for the well used pillow. It was also hot for summer but that was made up for with an ice cold shower. Yep there was no hot water at all and I left the shower running for awhile. Not very nice when you consider I paid $85 for one night. I took an ice cold shower and we’ll left early without them showering. I told the guy at the desk that checked us in and he seemed surprised but it was not fixed.

Location was great and in terms of space we got what we paid for. However, biggest challenge was temperature. We had all fans, portable air con on throughout the visit and windows open but was super hot and uncomfortable throughout. Floor 4. Wi-Fi awful too. Still a good break though.

These apartments are in the perfect spot for exploring this beautiful city , five minutes from main square and about 15 from old town and Jewish quarter . We got a taxi from airport which was equivalent of £25 but should have got the train as the station is four mins walk from apartment and cost only £2.50 ! Not knowing the city we jumped in a taxi but soon realised the buses and trams are all nearby and with the very helpful staff on receptions advice we found public transport great. We had the top floor apartment on two levels , the stairs to upper room were more like a ladder ! Very steep so not suitable for young children or older people. The apartment was flooded with natural light and good value for money having a little kitchen with dishwasher and a small table . It was perfectly laid out for us four middle aged friends , we enjoyed the sounds of the city and didn’t mind the curry smell in the corridors! We had some giro meals out and kept away from main square for value for money . Having explored all day the apartment was nice and cosy to return to , we will definitely stay again.

Apartments spacious, spotlessly clean and warm. Only issue that May bother some travellers the communal areas smell of the curry house next door. We didn't mind as we like this food haha but those who are nit picky may complain about this. Central location is very easy to get to main square. Come out of hotel turn left and left again and cross the road will lead you to main square. Do not rely on Google maps this will take you on longer routes. Would definitely return as overall great stay.
