Getting There - 2hrs drive from Kochi airport. The hotel arranged for a transfer taxi. 5,000/- one way. Arrival- Welcomed with chandan tika, welcome drink, cold towel and a big smile by the staff. Room- Got it early then the checkin time. Rooms are big, well lit with good views. But they need a lot of maintenance and refurbishment. Hotel- Green, peaceful, clean. Food & Restaurants - Only 1 restaurant with limited menu. But everything we ordered was delicious and good in portion size.

A 5 star location and a nice and peaceful resort, but I wouldn't say it is a 5 star resort, more like 3-4 stars and you're paying for the location rather than the resort. The rooms are large and spacious but are in need of an upgeade.The staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant needs more organisation though. There are lots of staff but many of them are just standing around and it took nearly an hour for us to get an order of tandoori roti.

A lieu exceptionnel, tout est parfait les chambres vues sur le lac avec une petite piscine privée peut pas mieux le calme Absolut massage exceptionnel, le maître de yoga à votre écoute et la cuisine indienne, la haut niveau, et en premier lieu, ce que nous avons apprécié ces la bienveillance des personnes qui nous entourent, je n’ai pas envie d’employer le mot staf…..

Een heerlijke vakantie gehad in Kumarakom prachtige resort Niraamaya. Heel mooi gelegen aan backwater. Mooi aangelegde tuin. Ontbijt, lunch en diner waren fantastische gerechten zoals die in Kerala lokaal bereid worden. Heerlijk met de bekende Indiase spices. Van chef ***n hebben we een workshop gekregen om de lekkerste gerechten te maken. Ook genoten van de Spa die gestoeld is op de eeuwenoude ayurveda wijsheid. Kortom een aanrader.

Une des meilleures expériences que nous ayons vécu dans un pays étranger depuis longtemps tout est exceptionnel, les massage, la nourriture, le yoga, mais je pense Que l’essentiel est dû empathie De toutes les personnes qui nous entourent. N’avons pas envie de dire staff, c’est beaucoup plus que cela. Encore un grand merci à toute l’équipe de cet hôtel génial

Here for a family vacation with my elderly parents to visit my father's home town. We checked in late on the first night. There is about 20 stairs from the front entrance to the check in area. The elevator wasn't working. I told the hotel well ahead of time that my parents have limited mobility. There isn't any assistance to help them out to their room from the dining area and the lobby which is 75 meters away. When we get to the room I see my father crawling up the stairs because there is no railing or anything else to hold on to. I ask the manager if they have any railings or if there is any way to help reduce a fall risk and the manager was quite unhelpful. When we got to dinner where 3 tables were occupied, I ask for something quick to get for my small children. I figure chicken nuggets and pappadam would be the fastest thing. After 45 minutes minutes, I ask the waiter if they are ready yet, another 15 minutes before the nuggets came out. Yes, that's right 60 minutes before frozen fried chicken nuggets were ready. The rest of the theyal, thorin, meen curry and dhal came out another 20 minutes later. It's a shame because the staff are nice and the property is beautiful. I just would expect more basic care for guest needs, especially at this price point.

Posto incantevole, immerso in una natura spettacolare. L'atmosfera è ovattata, rilassante e accogliente. La struttura molto bella, con qualche piccolo particolare che potrebbe essere ancora migliorato. La nostra suite (AAMBAL) molto bella, con piccola piscina, vista lago, immersa in una pace assoluta. Tutto il personale merita una menzione speciale, per l'attenzione, la cortesia e la professionalità. Per alcuni una menzione particolare: tutto il personale della reception, attento ai nostri bisogni e custode delle nostre dimenticanze! Athul, responsabile dei servizi SPA, con i due professionisti, Shilba e Binu che per giorni si sono presi cura delle nostre esigenze. Al ristorante, dove tutti i camerieri meritano un plauso per efficienza e impegno ma un particolare elogio va alla cucina ed al suo Executive Chef Arun Surendran. Siamo due viaggiatori frequenti, con una considerevole esperienza dell'India e della sua cucina speciale anche se molto speziata per i gusti occidentali. Per quattro giorni abbiamo avuto il privilegio di degustare i piatti tradizionali indiani e del Kerala (Allapey vegetable curry, Kadai Murg, Paneer do pyaza, Spice papad, Malabari Paratha, Vendakka pepper fry), preparati in modo eccellente, con un equilibrio e un gusto formidabili, anche per palati italiani, che non è poco! Davvero complimenti.

This was one of the worst resorts that I have every stayed at… People cant speak English in the resort… extremely bad management .. Very bad reception and welcome on the first day.. i left the resort in one day … i left the property in one day.. I expect a refund for the remaining 4 nights .. THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR PROPERTY.. please get your facts straight .. more than half the property was empty.. whats on their website is misleading.. I am extremely unhappy and disappointed with ******* for having suggested this place as a 5 star property..

Zeer goed verblijf gehad voor 4 nachten. Persoonlijk was zeer vriendelijk en lekkere visgerechten van de Chef ! Een plaats om volledig tot rust te komen in een oase van groen en ontspannende massages en behandelingen! Jammer dat het hotel geen vergunning heeft om alcohol te serveren.
