My family and I had such a lovely stay here and loved the authentic touch to the place with the traditional theme. They had great food and service, staff were always around to help if needed. I would definitely recommend Asantewaa guest house!

This beautiful, homily hotel made me feel invited. It felt like a second home to me and my husband. The staff were so welcoming, there was also a wonderful variety of breakfast. Definitely can't wait to visit again. Would recommend for families and couples.

First the good: The location was pretty easy to find and quiet - just what we needed on an overnight stay on the way down from Mole - the room was functional and seemed clean but I am not convinced just how clean it really was - I should stress this was just a fealing essentially relating to the fact that the choice of bedding did not seem compatible with daily washing. That said, I got a good night's sleep, it was comfortable, and there have been no health issues so far. The restaurant was OK at night - a good selection of local dishes and mine was fine. Overall though - despite my comments the hotel did the job and was cheap Now the bad: Breakfast was awfull - it was cheap but to be honest I wouldn't have eaten it if I had been paid to do so (and I am not particularly fussy) - how much is it to ask to emply someonbe to make an omlette to order - buffets are a health hazzard at the best of times - a lukewarm omlette and cold toast that has been sitting around for hours if not days is just not worth the risk

Very nice accommodations with beautiful decor and staff personalities. Great safe and secure location with a restaurant and bar!! The cultural decor will entice you to take pictures all over this property. I loved the open veranda

Asantewaa Premier Hotel is a hidden gem! Staff and service are excellent and they go above and beyond. The facilities are great, the food is authentic and great value and you are consistently looked after. A very well run hotel with a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. Kudos to the management! I would highly recommend the hotel, its really the only place to stay in Kumasi. Well done team Asantewaa!

We were very happy with our stay at the Asantewaa Premier Hotel. The staff and the service are exceptional. The space is very secure. Very quiet area. The manager arranged for us to be picked up and dropped off to the nearest VIP bus stop which was a really lovely touch! There is a bar on the premises (and you can take your dinner there if you fancy a change) and a balcony and a couple of other places where you can hang out and relax. The restaurant staff do their best to ensure you are comfortable. The cleaning of the room is very good too. All in all - definitely pick this place to stay when you are in Kumasi. The Manager - Godfred, Owner Kofi and his wife and all the staff - thank you! We would highly recommend it.

My sincere thanks to Mr. Kofi Appiah and his staff at this wonderful hotel. I am a professional photographer and this was my first trip to Kumasi. Our stay at this hotel was simply wonderful. From the first day upon arrival we were treated like royalty. Our accommodations were neat and clean and everything we needed was in the room. The restaurant was excellent as well. My wife and I mostly chose a local dish and they were superb not only in taste but the price was right. My wife and I often walked the neighborhood after our dinner and found it very pleasant. During my visit my guide could not accommodate my photography needs and I mentioned it to Kofi and within minutes he had someone for me and that person exceeded my expectations. I don’t photograph touristy spots but rather the places where you won’t find tourists and my guide made sure I was able to do my job without any problems. And lastly what I most admire about Mr. Kofi Appiah is that on the day of my departure the cab was running late and when he finally arrived Kofi came out of nowhere to assist in loading our luggage but noticed that the cab and its driver were not up to his standards. He was not happy and quickly told the driver to “go” and that he would drive us to the airport. The cabbie was stunned and left and while Kofi went to get his keys and the hotel van the security guard told me that “Kofi only wants the best for his clients, and he was right in dismissing the cab driver, ‘the driver should know that’” Though we were running late and I doubted we would make it on time Kofi assured us that it would be ok and we wouldn’t miss our flight. And we didn’t. I’m already planning in my head my next trip and definitely recommend to others to use this hotel. Thank you again to “The man with long legs” lol.

Good location in quiet area. Airport shuttle available with v pleasant driver Hotel needs to invest in upgrading of bathrooms esp. and the beds/mattresses!! The sheets/pillowcases were stained, frayed or had holes. No blankets available. WiFi access is poor. Totally unreliable in rooms, spotty on the patio and better in driveway and outdoor restaurant. Restaurant food and options were ok. My CC was overcharged by $85. The F Desk Mgr said it was due to exchange rate fluctuation from time of booking. Aah NO. I don’t think so. After 36 hrs of trying to address issue, my NY bank resolved it by pausing payment to challenge the charge. Hotel provided a refund to bank the following week. NB: Lovely, friendly warm front desk staff.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff went to great measures to make sure we were comfortable. My friend is vegan, and they went to great lengths to make sure she was accommodated, thanks to Mr. Salifu. Even when mistakes were made, they went over and beyond to correct the mistakes. As a business owner myself, I make mistakes, so I expect other businesses to make mistakes, but the way they HANDLE correcting mistakes is most important to me. Asantewaa Premier Hotel cares and I appreciated that. We will definitely be back, and refer others.
