An aesthetically beautiful and comfortable stay. If you’re looking for convenience and ease to enjoy the beautiful city of Durban, stay here. Except for the block-out curtains that wouldn’t close fully, you’re amazed at the beauty of the sea from sunrise to sunset! Definitely worth it!

What a good hotel with such a beautiful atmosphere and all the amazing people I met here!

I stay here atleast 6 nughts a month. For work purposes. 3 nights at a time. On the 1st night, my hotel room is fully stacked. Lotion, nodu wash, pack of pocket tissues, soaps. On the 2nd and 3rd nights, none of the things i used on the 1st night geta replaced. Also, when i request an iron it takes FOREVER.

No water No wifi Floor not cleaned for ages Lamp not functioning Shower flooding even with almost no water

For the price paid for a family room, the following: 1. Only 1 soap/shampoo etc 2. Tea/coffee also limited 3. So too the number of towels 4. Cold to lukewarm water to shower, both at night and in the morning

Rooms were spacious and airy. Lovely, comfortable beds. Carpets in the hallways were smelly. Good breakfast but I think they are understaffed as we had to wait in long queues to be served. Parking is really tight and you have to pay for parking daily. Location is awesome. Close to great restaurants and walking distance to the beach. However, the beach outside Oyster Box hotel was filthy.

This Hotel is very well located in Umhlanga to eateries, one block from the beach, shops and entertainmnet.. It is nothing Wow, but it is absolutely cofortable and provides one with everything you require for staying in this area.
