Little gem in the middle of the town, very clean and lovely staff

Once again a fantastic say at Hotel Carmen. As per our previous reviews this was out 10th stop in La Cala and Hotel Carmen and yes, we have already booked to return on 2024! In our view everything is perfect, the best and most friendly staff and the accommodation is absolutely pristine. Roll on 2024

This hotel is spotlessly clean with comfy beds and a great shower. We had room 301 which had a terrace. The breakfast was continental but only 2 euros extra for bacon and eggs. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There isnt a pool but only a 10 minute walk to the beach.Less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of town. We will return to cala de mijas and definitely stay at this hotel again. many thanks to all the staff.

I broke down in my vehicle directly outside this establishment so went in for a coffee while i awaited the towtruck. On asking the only person behind bar the name of his hotel, and not understanding his reply, he then proceeded to repetitively repeat the same word, and on asking him to spell it, continued to repeat the word....his attitude was extremely rude and unproffesional, and coupled with the fact that he then had a good laugh about my lack of "understanding" of his accent with the only client then present in the bar, equates to me not recommending Hotel Carmen to anyone....

Great location, close to the beach and town centre, though not noisy, the staff were friendly and the food in the cafe was very good, we loved the smoothie options! Perfect for a quick weekend getaway.

The beds are comfortable, staff are lovely and rooms clean, also very central. Downside is extremely noisy, couldnt sleep, rooms are very small and view was looking into someone elses bedroom in the house next door. Breakfast was just toast, juice and tea, if you wanted a cooked breakfast, that wasnt included and you had to pay extra. There are no facilities on site.

With only 13 rooms it’s a real little gem in La Cala de Mijas. Nice, very clean rooms, some with seaview and French balcony. Staff is welcoming and very helpful if you have any questions. It doesn’t provide breakfast, but La Cala does in abundance.
