歐州大酒店(Grand Hotel Europe)

Love the property, very beautiful grounds. Love the historic look, clean lil dated but no big deal. We were fortunate to have a side patio w small view of lake, storybook setting. We sat out on small patio drinking wine and it started snowing. So beautiful wish we could’ve stayed more than 1.5 days! Easy bus to city center.

unfriendly staff, poor quality rooms, breakfast ****** but mostly just really poor customer service nothing more to really say without cursing…..there is not a chance in hell that any reasonable review would give this place more than 3 stars even if overly generous. think 1960s dorm room at $350 a night. no thanks

I thought the Grand Hotel Europe was a nice place to spend a couple days. I appreciated the fan in the room since, as with many European hotels, there is no air conditioning. I heard some complaints that there was no mini bar/fridge in the rooms. I did not have a big problem with that, Wi-Fi was good and I sat in the bar having a beer and got my email and online stuff caught up so no problem. Breakfast had plenty of variety.

No air-conditioning and very small rooms! Regular Seagull alarm early in the morning as windows are open. Nice breakfast if part of tour but lunch/dinner options are very Expen$$$$ive! Paid over $100 for a hamburgers and a beer. Beer was good but burgers were overcooked & tasted like it. Would never stay there again!

I spent 2 nights here. The staff was wonderful, but I reported no hot water at 7 this morning. 12 hours later still no hot water. One would think they would have corrected, And move guest to rooms with hot water. Nada, They offered me a new room but I declined. I’m leaving early tomorrow. Not to mention my room has no identified visual temperature. I would estimate 67 degrees with all the fans working..

A 3-star hotel at best. Definitely could use updating of the public spaces and the rooms -- everything is just worn and tired looking and not in a cool historic way. The bath in our room was very sad and tired. Front desk staff was disinterested and disengaged with no interest in actually engaging with guests even for something as basic as checking out. Be aware that the hotel does not have air conditioning at all which was an issue given the hot/humid weather we experienced. The windows do open, but our room was situated such that there was no cross ventilation unless we left the hall door open. We did get a fan which helped considerably but fans are limited and others in our group were not so fortunate.

Stayed at this hotel largely because parking was available for our rental car. The location is convenient - there is a bus stop practically in front of the hotel and just across the street there is a lovely walk along the lake to the city center. We stayed in a room facing the lake with a small balcony. View was lovely but you cannot sleep with the doors or windows open as the street in front of the hotel is very busy and noisy. There was no a/c. The hotel seems to cater mostly to group tours as there were tour buses off-loading passengers when we arrived. The breakfast was mediocre and paled in comparison to the other hotels we stayed in. The staff in the bar and at breakfast were polite and helpful. While the building is pretty with a lovely porch on which to sit I would look elsewhere if I were to return to Lucerne.

A quaint hotel. They have a beautiful veranda where you can sit and enjoy your beverage of choice. Be aware though, there is no air conditioning. That may be fine at times but, in August it makes sleeping miserable. Otherwise, Lucerne is a beautiful city.

Arrivés sans réservation à une heure tardive, Valériya nous a trouvé deux chambres communicantes parfaites pour notre famille. L'établissement est magnifique ! Nous regrettons de ne pas avoir dîne sur place, mais nous avons pu profité du restaurant pour le petit déjeuner copieux et varie, en mode buffet.
