Beautifully situated on Mirror Lake with exquisite landscaping and mass plantings of gorgeous flowers, the inn is within walking distance of the restaurants and cute shops of Lake Placid. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Just couldn’t get over the old dark hallways and dated room. We spent most of our time outside.

mirror lake inn spa and resort is amazing the rooms and decor is so beautiful and relaxing. it's so peaceful. the staff is very polite and courteous and friendly. the spa services are amazing and the pool sauna and hot tub are breath taking. lake Placid up in the Adirondacks so peaceful, just another reason to visit. if you can swing the cost it's worth every penny! so a wonderful place. this was our 3rd time here and wont be our last.. also the view restaurant lives up to the 4 diamond status. the cottage restaurant is wonderful too. a+ thank you so much.

My wife and I went there for our anniversary. We stayed in lake cottage, suite L6 which was right on the water. About 5 minutes after we checked into our room, two staff members brought us a bottle of wine with a tray of different cheeses, bread, fruits, nuts and a small box of chocolates. The room was incredible but our favorite spot was sitting on the wrap around porch taking in the breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains. The staff was incredible in every sense of the word. My wife was extremely pleased with her spa treatment and our anniversary dinner at the view went beyond expectations. Besides the food being top notch, we were surprised when we saw our menus wishing us a happy anniversary in print and also, our waitress took a picture of us and gave it to us framed. It was a very special time for my wife and I and the Mirror Lake Inn and their staff were very much a part of making it that way for us. To them ... we say Thank You ! We hope to see you again.

5-star property across the street from a gorgeous lake. This is a classy hotel, gracious and understated. We booked a classic double queen room with “full view “ and “Sunroom Sitting Area“ and were given a nice room with an enclosed sitting area directly facing a wonderful view of the lake (see photo). The sitting area opens to Juliet-type sliding glass doors, with sliding screen doors to deter bugs. The bedding was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage available. After seeing this amazing setting, we wished we had flexibility in our schedule to stay for longer than one night. The resort offers complimentary coffee and tea service in the lobby area, as well as a filtered water and sparkling water dispenser near the entrance to the fine dining restaurant, The View. There are also free cookies offered at the front desk seemingly all the time. Service was excellent. The resort is conveniently located at one end of the quaint village of Mirror Lake. It is a good base for exploring the area by foot. The only negative was a surprise charge automatically applied to our credit card of $10 for a housekeeping gratuity that we only saw after the folio was emailed to us. As we always do, we left a cash gratuity for housekeeping in the room. I have never seen this kind of charge at any hotel anywhere in the world. If a hotel is going to do this, they really need to let guests know so they can appropriately account for it.

As winter sets in, the MLI is as cozy and welcoming as ever! We had a lovely casual dinner in the bar, enjoyed the pool/hot tub and relaxing in the room watching the snow fall!

We kind of splurged on the weekend since you had such great reviews from friends. It wasn't a cheap weekend, but we don't go on vacation to save money. The weekend was worth every penny and every memory. Thank you to all...
