Checkout is at noon. Five minutes after I returned from breakfast, a strange man bolted inside the room while I was sitting on the toilet and my daughter was lying in bed!!! He mumbled something and then walked out. I got up and ran to the door to look out the peephole. I saw a housekeeper woman leaning against the wall. I opened the door to ask her if she’d seen a man enter our room. She replied in a nonchalant, surly tone “ yea, it was the house manager.” I was livid!! I asked if it was customary to enter a guests room WITHOUT KNOCKING 2 hours prior to checkout. She just stared at me. It was only 10 a.m., checkout was not until noon, the man DID NOT KNOCK, and after walking in on us- he didn’t bother to identify himself or apologize!! I immediate called the front desk to report the issue. They said they’d tell the housekeeping manager, and at checkout I was offered 2 free bottles of water!! :( This clearly was a joke to them. With all of the robberies, sexual assaults, and sex trafficking occurring these days involving hotel stays, Hyatt needs to take the safety of its guest, especially women, much more seriously. I will NEVER stay here again. This incident scared the life out of me, and my daughter, who is expecting a baby, was scared stiff. I expected to hear from management about this with some sort of sincere apology, but nothing …. This was serious!!
