巴爾莫勒爾昂約克酒店(Balmoral On York)

Had a great time super location and the start were very kind. Travelled for soccer very close to the fields and heaps of parking

The Balmoral on York was a great Hotel to say at. Very close to everything we needed. On arrival we were greeted by Tim in a very friendly and helpful manner. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, and also plenty to choose from. Would definitely stay there again and would also recommend this Hotel to anyone, seeking clean and comfortable rooms to stay at.

We had previously stayed at a grander hotel as part of a walking tour and whilst it had all appearances of its grandeur, I don't feel I got anything extra from staying there. Balmoral may not have an impressive 'all you can eat' buffet breakfast spread, but I'm generally opposed to buffets anyway, and more so now since Covid. Balmoral has a more personal touch, the rooms are a little dated and maybe in need of a spruce up, but bed and shower facilitues were very good and comfortable. Booking direct we not only had the continental breakfast included in our tariff but also a hot breakfast which includes eggs plus 3 sides. Loved it. The continental breakfast was quite adequate and self serve, but my hot breakfast was cooked to order and served to our table. When a hotel is not part of a chain, you do notice the difference in the staff and owner. All were friendly helpful and whilst not as grand as some, we would all stay again, but be warned it is on a slope but walkable to town centre and gardens etc.

Great hotel, very comfortable bed. Continental breakfast was included. Easy walk to all the restaurants ( so many to choose from). Great location for day trips in and around Launceston. Friendly helpfull staff.

Enjoyed our stay, particularly the breakfast. Our first floor room had a lovely little balcony. Rooms somewhat dated but clean and new owner Tim has a refurbishment plan which will spruce things up. Good value and extremely helpful staff. James on the front desk and owner Tim is a font of knowledge and keen advocate for the area and Tasmania in general. Look forward to staying again.

An older style, quirky hotel with spacious rooms and good parking. Very friendly service from reception and helpful tips. We arrived early and were able to checkin which was just fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and the separate shower was fantastic with fluffy towels. The walls are thin though so noise does carry. The Continental breakfast was lovely and we sat outside on the terrace.

STAY HERE!! Location / price / view / service / awesomeness!!! THE OWNER Lets start here! Tim, who is the owner and lives local is sensational and really makes the stay absolutely awesome!!! He has a yarn with all the guests at breakfast (which was included) and makes the effort to ask questions and get to know the guest :) wow - what a difference this makes to a stay! I never realised it until I met Tim - what I also loved was that you can tell he has REAL PRIDE in his business as he talks excitedly about the upgrades he is going through and this excitement for the business flows on to the staff that work for him who were all lovely, happy, friendly and helpful 1. I was upgraded upon checkin - my room was awesome! Top level great views! 2. I had a late checkout which was great as I had a late flight 3. Help with info on where to go and what to see - specifically Tim saying to come down and see him daily if I needed help on where to go 4. Shuttle service to airport help 5. Had an early check in at 12pm - Tim accomodated me as I had an early flight Tim even helped to organise the airport shuttle for me and called them up to secure a good price 😀 what service!! If only all owners took a page out of Tims book THE ROOM Wow! Loved it! Nice, clean with awesome views!! I was lucky to get upgraded and had top floor views over Launceston town and I couldnt wait to head back to the room after a day of exploring The bed was soooooooooooo comfortable and the BEST pillows ive ever experienced - I hope I can find 1 to buy for myself! So good! The shower… hello! What great pressure and hot water is fantastic! Mini fridge and microwave with cutlery if you want to have your own meals (which I did) so was perfect for me and one of main reasons I chose this accom BREAKFAST Amazingggggg fresh fruit!!! Chopped fruit around 8 options - this was the best part for me! Also choices of cereals and juices Toast - white / brown / raisin with jams honey peanut butters Black Coffee You can also upgrade and pay for a hot breakfast If you need parking there is free on the property Lift is quick and easy to use Bags kept at reception safe and sound when needed I have nothing negative to say at all about this accom but they have set the bar high in customer service for me Thanks Tim!
