哈里森堡州立公園旅館(Fort Harrison State Park Inn)

We had a great stay at the historical Fort Harrison Inn. King room on 2nd floor was updated, clean and spacious. Wonderful high ceilings and bright sitting room. Customer service was wonderful. There is free continental breakfast! Inn is peaceful and nice to return to after exploring the city. A fun and unique alternative to run of the mill hotels. We will return.

After a day visiting the Winter Farmers Market, City Market, Kan Kan Cinema & Bottleworks District (The Garage) we headed to the Inn for our overnight stay. The room was large, the shower was excellent with four shower heads & the complimentary breakfast was just right. The place was clean & staff was friendly.

An older, clean place in a quiet area but lacks simple amenities that would make it so much better. Perhaps the most important thing in a hotel room is the quality of sleep. Considering they have blinds on the windows but no light blocking shades or curtains is magnified by the fact that they have spotlights that shine into your windows all night long. So if you need a dark room to sleep in this is not your hotel. The staff is friendly enough I don’t eat breakfast so I can’t comment on that but it looks to be a traditional to start breakfast. They don’t have enough parking. The mattresses are comfortable they do not provide extra blankets in the room so you may want to pack an extra blanket. Did not receive cleaning service the first night not sure if I’ll be receiving the remainder of my stay. It’s very clean. Overall I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Reading other reviews, I'm annoyed at the term "old". Hello? It is an historic property -- and a well-maintained one at that. Don't know how to appreciate this type of stay? Go stay somewhere trendy and "fresh". Add roughly $25/night in taxes to any quoted room rate. Free parking (*****ing of lot not complete but in progress) and generous free breakfast hours 7 - 9:30 (serving waffles, scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes, cereal/oatmeal/toast, yogurt). It was our privilege to have a quiet stay on a busy holiday weekend. Multi-generational trip with a 'puppy' who was previously untested in public setting. Pet room 132 offered a roomy bathroom. Pullout sofa wasn't the most comfortable seating but it did allow 5 of us to congregate indoors. Nearness to dumpsters would make this a bad room to occupy on garbage day. Due to proximity of parked vehicles car alarms were an unwelcome reality. Zig-Zag hallway to Room 200 & 202 was fun and felt secluded. The L-shaped sun porch was a blessing as oversized furniture in 200 made the main room feel tight. Likely would rebook 202 which seemed roomier even with a smaller porch. Furniture/TV set up seemed to dismiss idea of opening door between the units so we didn't inquire. We took advantage of nearby trails and missed out on some interactive features that we needed to have fit into day 1 of our stay as they were closed the rest of our trip.

I booked some rooms for next November’s Taylor Swift concert, however, I messed up and booked 2 of the rooms for this year. I realized this AFTER the weekend passed and they charged my credit card. I called and Misty was so kind, patient and helpful on the phone. I explained my mistake and she graciously helped get me a refund for those rooms we didn’t stay in. She even tried to help me book rooms for next year but luckily I did make one correct reservation. She saved this mom of a teen daughter that just wants to sit in the parking lot to hear the music. I appreciate her excellent customer service and she is an asset to this Inn. Thank you, Misty!

We arrived late but staff was very nice. Room (and AC) was so nice. Clean and amazing shower. Comfortable beds. Perfect amenities. Breakfast in the morning was great! Make your own waffles. I always love that. Plenty of parking. Beautiful space. Nice gift shop. Stay here - such a nice change from the chain hotels and a lovely historical building.

The hotel is very old and dated. It smells musty as soon as you walk in the door and the rooms are dated with old furniture and old carpet. There is very little light in the room. Also, there are no parking lines in the parking lot so people just park anyway they want and there's no lighting outside and the building needs a serious paint job!!!! This place is in serious need of a total remodeling. And the price that they charge for this place they should be ashamed charging such a high price for such low price standards.

I love, love, love this place. It has such a classic feel to it and I love the park. They have a really nice lake in the park were we went fishing and caught a few bass and sun fish. The nature center was closed when we went so we will have to come back when they are open next time.

We just moved here to Indy and not too far from Fort Ben. We are excited to have a nice lunch/brunch place to go to! The conference center restaurant is open 7 days a week from 11 - 2. We stopped for lunch about 11 on a Friday and were seated right away. The servers were friendly and the soup and salad bar were very good. There were 3 soup choices, I chose tomato basil and chicken and rice. There were the typical offerings on the salad bar plus chocolate pudding. Hubby's and my sandwiches and fries were very good. There was a lot of food for the price! Next we will go for Sunday brunch and check that out.
