南陸地公園歡朋套房酒店(Hampton Inn & Suites Overland Park South)

Made reservation through *******; called 48 hours before originsl check in date and asked to change date to one day prior. ******* called hotel to ger approval and hotel gave it - received updated itinerary, etc. Check in on new, earlier date, front desk staff insisted the changes i made were not valid and that ******* had made an error by "not putting changes in their system", but with confirmation emails and new itineraries with the new date, clearly ******* did make those changes. Staff claimed ******* didnt call front desk, and then changed her story when I pointed out that i had been on the phone and heard ******* talking to the hotel - i heard them typing and say to ******* changes were "all set". Then stadf claimed she was the one who had received the call about changes that i had heard talking to *******, and denied telling them things were taken care of. When confronted about why she didnt immediately admit she knew of the change situation, she then claimed she had "forgotten" about the call feom ******* the day before. ******* did everything correctly and the hotel staff did not, and then lied repeatedly. Joked with other guests that they had "49 open rooms" but wouldnt change my PAID FOR reservation to that night. Canceled rest of weekend and drove 4 hours home in the middle of the night in frustration.

The staff and the hotel itself was very nice. The area was very safe and close to a few shopping/eatery locations. However, after the six hour drive to this property, we were greeted with highway construction all night. I did not get two solid hours of rest with the constant thud of jack hammers and concrete busting all night from around 8pm until around 6am. I did inform the front desk clerk. The clerk informed me that is a known issue and they would not be giving a discount for the noise as it was th3 highway. I recomment anyone looking to stay at this property NOT stay on the odd numbered side of the building. If they assign a room on that side, request an even numbered room.

Even though we had a short stay the experience was great!

The room wasn't ready and took an extra hour. No compensation for the inconveniences.

Television was out and front desk failed to tell us upon check in.

The breakfast was advertised as 6 a.m. - 10 a.m. On Saturday morning, they closed the doors at 9 a.m. saying there was no more food; however, there were still cereal, etc. A family came down along with a women with a walker, and they were all turned away. Very disappointing.

Friendly staff, great continental breakfast. Nice rooms. Construction on hwy 69, but it was easy enough to find alternative routes around KC.

Staff was very flexible when we needed to stay an extra day. Moved incoming clients to another room so we could keep ours. Much appreciated

All employees were so nice and if needed something, they were right there. Thank you
