Tired Old Girl
Pulled into the resort to be met by a sign at reception stating “we are under staffed please be patient”. Hmm we have paid nearly $300 a night for one of their best rooms, not what we wanted to see straight up. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, but was quite dated. Balcony was old and worn, but the view of the lake was excellent. The TV was so small it was the size of my computer monitor, so we ended up watching movies on the bed on my laptop. Went to the gym and the pool. The gym was well set up with enough equipment to get a good workout. The pool area would have been amazing 30 years ago when built, but again in need of renovation. The spa was another story. Looked in and the bottom and sides were stained green. Wouldn’t advice putting your head under that water. Checked out the little village with a few shops, restaurant and bar area. The restaurant and bar were really nice and probably the only facilities that were up to date. On our second day we started to notice the lack of staff. Let me say the staff were the main reason this rating wasn’t even lower. They were all friendly and helpful, but clearly stressed from being under resourced. The pinnacle was ordering room service one night only to be told we would have to pick it up ourselves as they did not have anyone to deliver it. What? That is not room service. Told them to forget and just had snacks for dinner. All in all, $300 a night was not justified for the standard of facilities and
