After comprehensive research about the available accommodations in the vicinity of Cinque Terre, I found the Villanova agriturismo in Levanto, Italy. Once I read about it and saw the pictures on the Villanova website, there was no going back. I booked it for our family of five and we stayed there in May 2025 for eight nights. It could not have been more perfect for our needs. Everything about the Villanova is A1. There is culture, history, gastronomy and scenery. How to adequately describe the scenery from every window at the hotel? Coming from Toronto, a huge and modern megalopolis of some five to six million people, arriving at the Villanova felt like being transported into a magical fairytale village in the mountains. I wasn’t expecting the lush vegetation of the property and its surroundings, all perfectly manicured. And the fragrance of the olive trees, the star jasmine, the mock orange and all the various pines was heavenly. As for the nuts and bolts of the accommodation, it was perfect. The rooms were attractively appointed with antiques, the beds and bedding were lovely, the bathrooms were well equipped and there was plenty of hot water for showers. As for the organic breakfast offered daily, it was so over-the-top wonderful that it bears special mention. A bounteous, delicious repast that we looked forward to every day. And a shout-out to the staff, particularly our delightful and gracious shuttle driver, Giovanna, who took us back and forth from the hotel to town and back. Also, the breakfast staff were efficient, pleasant, quick to deliver everyone’s coffee orders, and completely lovely. I have only one note of caution for North American travellers. In the U.S. and Canada, when there is a hot tub on the premises for the guests’ use, it is generally hot. It was a bit disappointing to have the spa tub merely tepid, especially after a long day walking up the hundreds of stairs of the Cinque Terre towns, and doing 12,000 steps or more. But some of my family members braved the cool water temperatures to get into both pools, and were glad to do so anyway. There was, after all, the scenery to gaze at while there. Thank you to the proprietor, Giancarlo Massola, for his unfailing attention to every detail at the Villanova and for ensuring our family’s stay was perfect. An absolutely lovely property. Do not pass up the chance to stay here. Everyone was so friendly, and the accommodations were top notch. Spent an afternoon wandering the grounds and it was just such a treat. Would love to go back for another visit!

Très bel établissement, au calme sur une jolie colline, à l’écart de la petite ville de Levanto. Un service de navette vous permet de descendre en ville au cours de la journée. Pour la soirée, il faudra prendre un taxi pour rentrer. Patron et personnel charmants, propreté impeccable, petits déjeuners parfaits. La ville de Levanto est un bon choix pour visiter les Cinque Terre : à l’écart de l’agitation des villages, mais le train permet de se rendre très rapidement dans les villages. Je recommande!

Villanova - Nature & Wellness ist ein kleines Paradies in Levanto! Von der ersten Minute an habe ich mich hier unglaublich wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist traumhaft – umgeben von wunderschöner Natur, ist es der ideale Ort, um die Seele baumeln zu lassen und gleichzeitig die Cinque Terre zu erkunden. Ein absolutes Highlight war das Frühstück: Eine wunderbare Auswahl an frischen und regionalen Produkten, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Von hausgemachten Kuchen über frisches Obst bis hin zu italienischen Spezialitäten – alles war perfekt und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Die Anlage selbst ist ebenso beeindruckend: gepflegte Gärten, gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeiten im Freien und eine sehr harmonische Gestaltung der gesamten Umgebung. Hier kann man wunderbar entspannen und die Natur genießen. Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Ladestation für Elektroautos, die das Hotel anbietet – ein echtes Plus für umweltbewusste Reisende und extrem praktisch. Der Service war durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man spürt, dass das Wohl der Gäste hier an erster Stelle steht. Ich kann Villanova jedem empfehlen, der nach Ruhe, Natur und einem Hauch von Luxus sucht. Ich komme definitiv wieder – dieser Ort ist ein echter Geheimtipp!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet établissement. Davide est très sympathique et l’établissement est convivial. Une navette gratuite de la réception est disponible pour vous déposer à la gare afin de se déplacer aux Cinq Terres en train. L’endroit est très charmant, reposant et sécurisé. Notre chambre était un peu vieillotte mais charmante et propre. Le petit déjeuné est varié et copieux. Merci pour le séjour.

Cet endroit est magnifique, il n'y pas d'autres mots. Le reste fut aussi excellent que ce soit l'accueil (vraiment excellent et sympathique, le déjeuner est grandiose, le personnel vraiment gentil avec des petites attentions pour notre fille. Ce qui nous empêche de mettre un 5, c'est le prix du lave linge et sèche linge. 5 € chacun. C'est du détail mais on ne peut mettre que des chiffres entiers sur ce site. L'hotel mériterait une note entre 4,5 et 5 en fait ..mais pas un 5 du coup. Néanmoins vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, encore un grand merci à toute l'équipe.

Un domaine calme et tranquille, où tout est fait pour le plaisir. Un agriturismo parfait, accueil très agréable, une junior suite spacieuse, un petit déjeuner avec les produits du domaine, piscine, massage en plein air, jardin, arbres parfaitement entretenus. Un endroit idéal pour se ressourcer après les visites de la journée aux cinque terre. Je recommande vivement.

Ça semble bien parce que c’est joli mais en fait c’est une ambiance exécrable. Ça commence par l’accueil que vous réserve David qui débite sa présentation comme un robot et qui vous plante là pour aller faire son sport sans rien vous dire… Les chambres sont propres mais celles quine sont pas dans la maison principale sont moches, sans compter celles sur le parking avec vue sur les jantes. Enfin une mesquinerie pour tout: bouteille d’eau payante, peignoir à louer 5€, pas de machine à café mais des sachets de nescafe J.avais réservé deux nuits je ne suis resté qu’une, tant pis pour mon portefeuille… À côté il y’a Angiolinas beaucoup mieux comme ambiance

Wij verbleven hier 2 nachten om de Cinque Terre te bezoeken. Mooie, grote en schone kamers. Mooi zwembad en bubbelbad. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Heerlijk ontbijt met verse eigen en lokale producten. Wij vinden het een aanrader.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Accueil sympathique, lieu magnifique. Chambre propre avec literie confortable. La piscine et le jacuzzi sont l'endroit parfait pour se ressourcer. La vue est splendide ! Le petit déjeuner est très bon ! Une adresse à retenir et à partager ! N'hésitez pas, je recommande à 100%.

We Stares 4 Nights in La Canonica - an Apartment in the former flat of the Villa Nova priest. The Apartment offers everything one would need, including a garden with BBQ and a well equipted kitchen. Eventho the hotel was fully booked it never felt crowded.

Agriturismo Villanova is absolutely fabulous. Everything was first class, from the rooms to the beds and bedding to the breakfasts, which feature delicious local organic products, many of which are grown and produced at Villanova. The owner and staff are friendly and fantastic -- helpful and accommodating in every way. One of our family was celebrating a milestone birthday and when they learned of it, the breakfast staff presented her with a little cake with candles on it. A lovely touch. We decided to stay here (near Levanto, a nice small city with good restos, BTW) rather than in one of the Cinque Terre villages. They are lovely, of course, but the idea of dragging a suitcase through the train stations and up a zillion steps into the heart of one of the towns is just not our idea of a restful time. Villanova is, for sure. The comfortable and roomy shuttle at Villanova took us to the train station or into Levanto at convenient times. Both of the drivers were friendly and helpful. From the train station, we visited all five villages and then returned to Villanova for a restful, tranquil night. The first day, we took the ferry round trip to Porto Venere, just to get a sense of Cinque Terre. A good strategy for us. We were a family group of five adults who stayed in four different rooms, all of which were beautiful and comfortable. Two of the rooms had full cooking facilities, and we had several delicious meals there in addition to going to terrific local restaurants. Highly recommended, in every way. Not cheap, of course, but worth every penny to our group. Grazie, Villanova !!!

This place is incredible. Our experience from the beginning of our stay to the end of our stay was incredible. The room was clean, the grounds were beautiful and peaceful, the pool was a nice bonus, the breakfast was absolutely incredible, and all of the staff were wonderful and friendly. We will be back!!
