北安普敦-阿默斯特凱藝套房酒店(Quality Inn & Suites Northampton - Amherst)

Room was decorated nicely, but you can see the property itself needs upgrading. The columns that hold up the second floor balcony are rotting. So are the cement stairs. Stairwells and outdoor hallways have very insufficient lighting to the point of being dangerous. Pool not opened!!! Microwave didnt work. Staff was very nice. I won't return.

The hotel was dirty and in disrepair. The sofa bed that we needed to use because we are a family of five was dirty and broken down. The kitchen wasn't stocked with basic items that were needed to even make macaroni and cheese. The curtains were torn, the cupboard doors were falling off hinges, and the hotel was dingy and in need of a lot of work. The elevator hadn't been inspected in over three years. I didn't feel safe in the room or on the property. The breakfast was ok, and there were good food options a short drive away. However, I would never stay at this hotel again.

The property is under major renovation. It felt like we weren't supposed to be there with every other hotel room door wide open as we walked the hall to our room. The room had some cleanliness issues. There was fuzzy mold on the sprinkler system in the bathroom and a random homemade pill on the desk chair. The heating system was confusing because there were two thermostats that looked operable but only one worked.

The room itself was very nice, when you closed the blinds you could pretend that you were in a much better neighborhood and that outside the room the place didn’t look like there had been a fire recently and they’d pulled everything apart.;The internet was horrible, like impossible horrible. Continental breakfast was typical and lack luster….avoid the eggs.

The service was awesome but the room itself was unbeliavably sketchy, and as a group of young women extremely unsettling. The hinge lock on the interior of the room had been visibly broken off and was missing and the windows were unlocked when we got there. This partnered with being on the first floor felt extremely dangerous and scary.

I did not like the quality or variety of the breakfast offered. The eggs and sausage seemed to be very processed. Would have preferred more healthy options like (unsweetened) oa**eal and fruit.

Coffee was not good, the thermostat had low batteries and needed to be reset. I woke up in the middle of the night to the room at 83 F because the thermostat thought it was 63. My husband and I are engineers and were able to reset it and get the AC on but then when we went to the front desk the next morning, the receptionist had trouble finding batteries (not their fault but seriously, you don't stock batteries up front just in case?!). The pool was closed for "maintenance" and I had two kids who were looking forward to swimming. The microwave in the room was terrible.

I suppose this area is just very expensive, but I could not believe the poor value of this overpriced place. It was a very basic roadside hotel with some basic new finishes in the bathrooms. The bedding was so crisp it woke my partner to move the sheets. It is on a busy street with a ton of traffic noise and it is wide open to the public on the other side of the door, like staying in a Motel 6. If I had paid a roadside motel rate, I would have felt it was the nicest motel ever. The breakfast was solid though only gluten aside from the fluffy eggs and sad bacon. As it were I paid the same for this as I paid for The Graduate in Providence the same week, so… not impressed.

The stay in general was good. Clean room, friendly staff, quick check in and check out. Finding the room was kind of difficult though. Also, there was no vending machine and the pool was down which was a bummer. However, I thought it was fantastic that another hotel was offering the guests to use their pool so that worked out well with our 3 kids. My only question was why couldn't we use the pool in the hotel next door instead of driving 15 min - both hotels were the same chain. (There was also a dirty knife in the drawer which was a little gross, but we weren't using any of the dinner ware). Otherwise, a very pleasant stay and we would definitely recommend and stay again!
