百老匯旅館(Elwood Hotel & Suites)

Pretty hotel but beware there is much crime there! Our vehicle was broken into with damage and loss of items. The hotel is aware this happens on a WEEKLY basis according to police. The hotel instructed where to park for overflow parking because their parking lot holds about 20 vehicles only! I do NOT recommend staying there as they refuse to put cameras in according to police and the hotel knows it is an issue.

Elwood has always been one of our favorite places to stay but this time when we checked in the restaurant/bar was closed for out entire stay and that is one of the highlights that we enjoyed when we stayed there. The atmosphere has always been welcoming and fun but this time we felt as if we were staying at a place that was actually closed which took away from our overall experience. Hopefully this changes but I will definitely call before booking again to make sure it's a different experience.

The hotel says it’s pet friendly. I looked to see if there were any additional charges or a special room I had to book and could find nothing. When I checked in I told the desk I had a dog and asked if I had to do anything special. They stated no. Upon returning with my small dog a manager stopped me and said I had to pay $75 per night pet fee. I told her I looked about couldnt find that listed and she ignored me. The bar and restaurant were never open while we were there. Looked sad like it’s about to go out of business…..and I can understand when you are unclear on policy and pricing

Unbeknownst to us a wedding party/reception was being held the same night of our stay. They had rented the whole dining area & bar - which is fine - only that meant there was no way to access our room without ‘traveling’ through the midst of their reception as we came in and out. Also we could not use the dining room/restaurant that evening due to the reception, but were told we could order something & have it sent up to our room instead. Then to top it all off our 2nd floor corner ‘garden room’ (which we paid extra for) was situated directly above the reception party. After having spent 6+hrs on the road that day- we were tired, ready to relax and get some sleep which was not possible due to the noise from the reception below us. When we called the ‘front desk’ regarding the noise we were simply told it should quiet down by 10pm. While we certainly do not begrudge the people who had reserved, paid for and were enjoying their wedding reception, we also had reserved and paid for a room to rest, relax and sleep in for the evening. We feel it was the fault of the management not to have let us know of the party that was to take place during our stay allowing us to choose a different room or other accommodations.

Room was nice. Rate is on par with the area. When I arrived there was a wedding party in progress. Little awkward as I'm coming in roadworn and weary after 12 hours travel. Check in was fine, was told dining was closed but I could order something and have it brought up to me....perfect...I could catch a little nap and order some food. The filet had caught my eye already. I tried to call for two hours, was put on hold at first, they then just stopped answering. I finally had to order a pizza. When they pizza guy arrived they would not let him up so I had to go back down into the wedding party, this time in my pajamas, through the party and to the delivery guy. While I made my way I noticed a young lady sitting at the phone. Didn't bother to help, didn't help with the door as I tried to find my card with one hand and hold the food with the other and the whole process really just made me feel like an unwanted guest. This place has a lot going for it but with the space they have...may want to decide what they want to be and if they continue to try to be both...work on not alienating their guests. Not my first time here, may end up being my last...

The room they gave us was above a mechanical malfunction in the basement that made a “Tommy-gun” sound every 10 seconds, keeping us awake from 3 am to 4:30 am. The management KNEW about it before assigning us that room (we found out the next day).

Location is not great, staff has no hospitality skills, the restaurant looks good but was closed most of the time of our stay. Wouldn't recommend to stay here.

Nice boutique hotel.

Unique facility. Newish. Very clean. We came with dining plans for Lexington, but the next time we stay already plan to eat at the bistro there. Menu choices looked wonderful. Check in was easy but could have included a little more info about finding such things as ice vending.
