Great hotel - phenomenal breakfast and lovely staff who genuinely go out of their way to help. Suite was spotless and the most spacious I think we’ve ever seen. Probably need a car to get around the area although only a 10/15 min walk from restaurants and €15 to the station to get to La Spezia and Le Cinq Terre. We used the free tennis courts and they have free bikes although we didn’t have time.

This hotel depressed us from the moment of arrival and throughout our seven night stay. We could not afford to leave because it was included in our Mistral Holidays package. We arrived late and were presented with cold platters of food that required heating to make them edible. We were not permitted to use the restaurant to heat and consume the food because it had been laid up for the next day's breakfast but told to eat it in our rooms on the beds! We declined and found a nearby cafe about to close which sold us their last remaining focaccia sandwiches. The hotel manager was neither helpful nor in any way anxious to please and that was an attitude that persisted throughout our stay. On our first night in the restaurant we requested a bottle of water. My wife asked the waiter if he could open it. His response was to insist that the cost (3euros) was paid in cash beforehand. All subsequent orders for drinks were accompanied by the same rule. On our last breakfast neither the coffee machine nor the juice dispenser were working. Perhaps we should have demanded some repayment. On that same day, our day of departure, we were allowed to use a room in which to store our luggage but there was no facility to change our clothes during the seven hours that we were ”homeless”. It rained heavily during those 7 hours. We could describe many more egregious examples of the unsatisfactory atmosphere that pervaded our stay and made a holiday mood hard to arouse. One sensed that cost-cutting played a large part of the ”managerial style”. The tour operators had advertised prominently a hotel in the same region which was alleged to be within a list of hotels from which clients would be allocated one. That hotel was not available. Had we known that we would not have booked this holiday. Had the non-availability of this hotel been known before we booked then the booking was at best deceptive and at worst fraudulent. This observation is of course unconnected from our criticism of the hotel.

Mia madre ha soggiornato in questo hotel la prima settimana di luglio per 8 notti, io e mio marito solo una notte poiché ci eravamo organizzati per accompagnarla e fermarci il giorno dopo. Camere che chiamano “dependance”, in realtà sono stanze ricavate da ex magazzini/garage sul parcheggio interno all’hotel, minuscole, umide e rumorose. Ci era stato detto al momento della prenotazione che la camera era in un edificio separato rispetto al corpo principale all’interno del cortile della proprietà e dalle foto si capiva che non era grande, ma quello non sarebbe stato un problema. Quello che però non si capiva e che non era specificato, era appunto che si trattava di locali che erano stati sicuramente dei magazzini o delle cantine, perché il soffitto arrivava si e no a due metri, dei veri e propri loculi, avendo solo la porta di accesso come unica fonte di luce e di aria. Oltretutto, il saldo deve essere effettuato al momento delle check in, adesso ho capito il motivo, se avessimo visto la stanza prima di pagare ce ne saremmo sicuramente andati. Prezzo 120 euro al giorno in trattamento B&B perché considerata una doppia ad uso singola, un ladrocinio per una camera del genere. Dell’hotel si salva solo la posizione fronte mare e la ragazza delle colazioni, gentile e simpatica. Per il resto vacanza rovinata ed esperienza pessima da dimenticare.
